3 August 1, 2010 Dear Ludlam Parents, On behalf of the Ludlam PTA we are proud to send you this letter and ask you to become member of America's number one parent involvement resource: the PTA. PTA helps parents, students, school staff and communities work together to share ideas about programs and activities that benefit children. A few of the national PTA goals are to: Promote welfare of children and youth in home, school and community Secure adequate laws for care and protection of children and youth Bring into closer relation the home and the school so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth Develop united efforts between educators and the general public to secure the highest advantages in physical, mental and social education for all children. In short: PTA advocates for children! To obtain our goals this year, we will organize a number of events in which your involvement in any way will be highly appreciated. Please help us by becoming members of the PTA, which will give us the support and money and opportunity to speak up for our children at Ludlam Elementary. We cannot do it without you!
