3 In its 8 th year, Grand Fiesta is a gala fundraiser that has not forgo8en its community roots, yet con+nues to grow in dis+nc+on each year. Grand Fiesta supports the Project Somos Children's Village, a Canadian non- profit dedicated to helping widowed or single mothers and their children rise out of extreme poverty in Guatemala. 4 Our Venue - The Imperial Theatre Project Somos is very pleased to return to The Imperial Theatre on the evening of October 29 th for The 2015 Somos Grand Fiesta. This 6,000 square foot stylish, state- of- the- art private event and mul+media facility is located in Vancouver s urban core. The Imperial has been carefully transformed from its abandoned Asian movie house state to its contemporary revitalized form. All who a8ended the last two Grand Fiestas enjoyed The Imperial s luxurious environment. Expect excellent food, live entertainment, an exci+ng live auc+on and a few surprises!

5 Our Theme - Day of the Dead Grand Fiesta 2015 opportunely falls two days before Day of the Dead, a three- day La+n American fes+val celebrated by family and friends gathering to remember passed loved ones and help support their spiritual journey. The fes+val begins on October 31 st, which is also Halloween. We will provide themed masks and encourage guests to get into the masquerade spirit of the occasion. Day of the Dead should not be mistaken as a +me to be scared or sad; it is an occasion for music, food, and celebra+on!

6 About Project Somos Mission and Vision The mission of Project Somos Children s Village is to provide a secure home, loving support and a hopeful future for Guatemalan widowed or single mothers and their children coming from situa+ons of extreme poverty. The vision is for the Village to be ecologically and financially sustainable. The long- term goal is to successfully replicate the Village in other loca+ons. 7 Why Project Somos? UNICEF es+mates that there are 370,000 orphans in Guatemala, which includes children with one living parent. Project Somos operates as an orphan- preven+on program, teaching mothers voca+onal training so they can support their families self- sufficiently in the future. The children a8end school and engage in arts, leadership and other opportuni+es. Project Somos accepted its first three families in 2014 and its fourth and filh earlier this year. The goal is to have capacity for up to 21 families at a +me. Grand Fiesta is our biggest opportunity to secure funds for the next stage of development.
