2 Neighbourhood centre meeting and conference facilities Situated on London s dynamic South Bank, minutes from Waterloo station, the Coin Street neighbourhood centre has a range of contemporary purpose-built conference, meeting and event spaces. Rooms have floor to ceiling natural daylight with blackout blinds and comprehensive audio-visual facilities. An experienced team ensures client events run smoothly. Flexible meeting spaces The spaces are flexible and suitable for a wide range of activities; from seminars, training courses and board meetings to large conferences and product launches, we can work with you to deliver your event successfully. Technology at your fingertips Built-in audio visual equipment provides up-to-the minute technology at your fingertips including 50 plasma screens featuring SMART Boards, eliminating the need for free-standing equipment, and thus creating more space in the rooms. Telephone conferencing technology is also available. Environmentally sound Environmentally sustainable features are an integral part of the neighbourhood centre. Incorporated into the striking façade are solar chimneys which passively ventilate the building. Other features include solar panels to heat water, carefully balanced glazing to ensure optimum light admittance, recycled rain water to flush WCs, automatic lighting that is on only when rooms are in use, and recycling of all paper, glass and plastic. Fred Miller room 2 boardroom style Central location Conveniently situated in central London a few minutes walk from Waterloo station, the centre is well-located for rail, river, road and bus connections. Whilst we encourage travel by public transport, there is secure underground car parking adjacent to the centre. The centre has the added benefit of being next to the vibrancy of the designer shops, bars, restaurants and attractions of London s South Bank. Creche and childcare provision The centre can provide onsite creche facilities for delegates using the centre at a competitive rate subject to availability. Preferred caterers and florist We have a range of preferred caterers to provide a wide range of catering options. Flowers can also be arranged if required. The AV systems worked to perfection, temperature control was perfect, all the catering was delivered on time, staff were very helpful, and even the acoustics were spot on. I am convinced that a good venue, including faultless equipment, helps delegates to relax and focus on the purpose of the meeting. All my delegates have said they enjoyed the space, the light and airy feel of the rooms, and the very stylish but comfortable facilities! As a charity involved in social justice and rights issue (water and sanitation specifically) we were also very pleased that our fees for the day will contribute in some way to the Coin Street Community Builders social enterprise itself. 17 Exhibitions & events Oxo Tower Wharf is a landmark building on London s South Bank that is home to three destination restaurants; cafes and bars; and thirty design shops occupied by innovative young designers. It is also home to gallery spaces that are available to hire for exhibitions and events. Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf A raw warehouse venue, Bargehouse provides an atmospheric setting for a wide range of exhibitions and events. The untouched warehouse is ideal for large or group shows. gallery@oxo, Oxo Tower Wharf A bright riverside space overlooking the River Thames to the City of London and St Paul s, the gallery@oxo is located on the pedestrian riverside walkway between the London Eye and Tate Modern. The south side of the gallery faces a central courtyard providing an external spill out area. Sections of the courtyard can be hired to install marquees or furniture to provide additional reception space. 18 Opportunities for outside events We offer a diverse choice of venues for outside events, exhibitions, parties, receptions and filming in London s most visited neighbourhood. Located between Blackfriars and Waterloo transport links, the area has a large footfall from both tourists and commuters. Spaces offer quintessential London backdrops, and range from a roof terrace to gardens, riverside walkway and courtyard at Oxo Tower Wharf. The venues benefit from being surrounded by the cultural attractions, restaurants and bars of London s South Bank and many have panoramic views of the London skyline, the river and St Paul s cathedral Riverside gardens This delightful green space at the heart of the South Bank is used throughout the year for large-scale events and outside exhibitions. It is regularly used as a filming location, appearing on Ant & Dec s Saturday Night Takeaway and This Morning. Observation Point Located on the busy riverside walkway, the observation point provides a quintessential London backdrop, and is regularly used for outside events and as a filming location. Riverside walkway The tree-lined riverside walkway offers a backdrop for product launches and outside events, and has been previously used for a wide-range of events for Shelter, Alpro, Smirnoff, T-Mobile, Nokia and Nintendo. Doon Street car park Located next to the National Theatre, this large open land space is suitable for a range of uses, from special builds to catering vans and film crews. Previous events include Cirque Bijou and the room by the river.
