2 Cohort How does DOE establish our Cohort? 8 th to 9 th entry with a schedule on PF1/ASPEN What can I do? Day 6 of NO Show / DNE Print PF1 and delete schedule 4 th year Cohort credit is awarded for all graduations through August 21, 2015.

4 Cohort Changes What can I do if I need to correct the student Cohort? Ms. Charlene Burks, Ms. Marta Montaner, or Ms. Terry Ceballos with the student name, ID number, and requested change. Cohort changes may impose different graduation requirements.

5 18 Credit Acceleration Option (ACCEL) Diploma code became effective All core graduation requirements must be met. 18 credits; 2.0 GPA, no online, no P.E., and only 3 electives. Reading FCAT must be met. Reading FCAT and Algebra I EOC must be met for Cohort 11 and going forward.

8 Adult Education (VACS) Graduation What can I do if I find a student that has graduated through Adult Education (VACS) with a W43 or W52? Administrator s Charlene Burks Cburks@dadeschools.net

9 Credit Recovery No extra seat time requirement. Courses taken outside of the school day must end in CR. Double entry/coding into TRACE (FM 7464) Example: Failed English 3, 1.0 Took Eng. 3CR, 0.5 TRACE 0.5 Eng. 3 CR and Eng. 3 Regular course 1.0 One semester can forgive a semester or an annual course. Proceed with course forgiveness.

10 Credit Recovery No seat time requirement. Course taken inside of your regular school day: CR course must show as a semester course on PF 1; then TRACE corresponding grade with the core course number (NOT CR ) as a Term 1 or as an annual credit. Proceed with course forgiveness.

11 TRACE Which Courses May Not Be Recorded in TRACE? Dual Enrollment courses posted on PF1 in ISIS Florida Virtual School classes taken beyond regular school hours with an official grade report that student received W for Withdrew, WP for Withdrew Passing, WF for Withdrew Failing or Grade Rescinded. Do nothing! File the document in the student cumulative folder. Acceleration/Credit Recovery courses (i.e. Edgenuity), computer-based or teacher-directed courses, taken during regular school hours (these courses must be posted on the PF1 in ISIS).

12 Online TRACE

13 Credit Acceleration Program (CAP) If a student passes an EOC assessment with a 3 or higher, the student would be exempt from taking this course. The course number must be traced in with a CAS value E and a grade of P.

14 Home School (HS) Students may transfer back to their home school up until the first day of the 2 nd semester of their senior year. Schedule student into the next appropriate course. Ex: HS Brings : 10 th Honors Geometry Placement : 11 th Honors Algebra 2 TRACE a P or F at the end of the school year for the HS grades if they have earned a D or better as a final grade. No more automatic promotion for HS.

15 Algebra I EOC Cohort 10/ graduates not required. Cohort 11 and going forward requires Algebra I EOC or a PERT score of 97+ to graduate for ALL STUDENTS! Exception is with an ESE Waiver

16 Algebra I EOC Algebra I EOC taken: Another Florida county-trace in the course. Send information to Ms. Yida Batista from Assessment to be entered in SPI and G.P.A. screen will update weekly. Out of state- TRACE in the course. Send HEAT ticket under Algebra 1 with all documentation. When confirmed, Algebra I EOC CAS value in TRACE will be changed to a D (exempt).

17 PERT (WFT) When will I see a W for a PERT concordant score on the GPA screen? PERT score 97 or higher and an Algebra 1 has been traced in from: A private school An out of state school An out of country Graduation Type: WFT

18 ACT/ SAT Score Make sure all ACT and SAT scores have been entered by Ms. Yida Batista from Assessment and Research before you send a graduation override to your data entry person at FASCO

19 TRUANCY Truancy now covers 6 to 17 years old. Starting , the truancy flag will be dropping in ISIS every two years.

20 APOSTILLE Process Parent requests a transcript, diploma, or student record with the school s seal. Direct parents to THE FEDERAL AND STATE COMPLIANCE OFFICE in Miami Springs Call for an appointment Once the document is notarized by FASCO, parents will be directed to the state of Florida for the Apostille.
