5 Students taking Algebra I or Algebra II will receive high school credit and that grade will be calculated into their high school GPA. Students who earn an A or B (final average) must go on to the next level in high school. Students who earn a C, D, or F (final average) can repeat the class will show as course attempted on their transcript. All students enrolled in Alg. I and Alg. II will take an End of course Exam (EOC). This will be 30% of their final grade for the class. Students must take four years of math once in high school.
6 Students taking Spanish I in place of reading will receive a high school credit and a grade that will be calculated into their high school GPA. Students who earn an A or B (final average) must go on to the next level in high school if continuing with foreign language. Students who earn a C, D, or F (final average) can repeat the class will show as course attempted on their transcript. Foreign language is not a graduation requirement but most universities require two consecutive years for admissions.
7 Civics Education course EOC constitute 30% of the final course grade If a student enrolls prior to the 2 nd semester of 8 th grade year, he/she must have Civics and take the EOC.

25 This distinction is available at all high schools. The diploma requires a minimum of 4 Advanced Placement (AP) courses over 2 different content areas. Students must earn a score of 3 or higher on 3 or more AP exams. GPA requirements are a weighted AP G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher. The diploma requires a minimum of 100 hours of community service.
26 Honors course typically require homework and nightly reading, daily class work, essays, test and major projects. These courses are weighted, therefore, they carry a higher value in your GPA.
