Ahiflower Oil Vegan Omega-3 The richest, most effective combined essential fatty acids from a single plant
Ahiflower Oil Vegan Omega-3 PRO Better Than Flax. Not From Fish. For Sale Through Health Care Professionals Only Omega Powerhouse Clean Aroma and Taste 100% VEGAN NON-GMO
Advantages of oil vs Flaxseed oil 75% greater adjusted* total omega % SDA (Flax has 0%) 5-8% GLA, comparable to Evening Primrose oil (Flax has 0%) Clinically shown to convert to EPA up to 3-4 times more efficiently vs Chia oil 55% greater adjusted* total omega % SDA (Chia has 0%) 5-8% GLA (Chia has 0%) vs Hemp oil 40% greater adjusted* total omega x more SDA 60% more GLA vs Microalgae oil 18% total omega 6 (6% GLA + 12% LA) (Microalgae has 0%) More economical alternative Sustainable, non-gmo, land-based sourcing Clean taste and smell, no fishy aftertaste vs Fish or Krill oil 18% total omega 6 (6% GLA + 12% LA) (Fish or Krill have 0%) Does not contribute to depletion of marine stocks No potential aquatic contaminants, heavy metals, or pollutants Clean taste and smell, no fishy aftertaste Vegetarian/Vegan *Content of SDA is multiplied by 3 to account for the increased conversion of EPA relative to ALA, as shown in LeFort et al., Consumption of Buglossoides arvensis seed oil is safe and increases tissue long chain n-3 fatty acid content more than flaxseed oil, J. Nutr. Sci., In press.
Why Ahiflower Oil? An Omega Fatty Acid Powerhouse! Ahiflower is a proprietary, refined seed oil from the plant Buglossoides arvensis, in the Boraginacea family. It is the richest naturally-occurring source of stearidonic acid (SDA) and an excellent source of gamma-linoleic acid (GLA). Ahiflower Oil Composition Omega-6 18% LA 12% GLA 6% SDA 18% Omega-9 10% Other Oils 9% Oleic Acid 10% Other Oils 9% ALA 45% Omega-3 63% Based on actual analytical results. Ahiflower oil is a powerful single-plant source of non-gmo omegas with a >3:1 ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6. Ahiflower oil offers consumers an optimum choice for cardiovascular and anti-inflammatory support!
Efficient Source of EFAs The richest known natural source of omega-3 SDA SDA in Ahiflower Oil converts more efficiently to the fatty acid found in fish oil. Unlike the omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) found in most plants, Ahiflower Oil contains the omega-3 stearidonic acid (SDA) which converts more readily to EPA. The body converts SDA to EPA at a rate of up to 30%, compared to a typical conversion rate of ALA of 3-6%. Thus much larger quantities of ALA oils (such as flaxseed shown below) are required to achieve the same benefit. COMPARISON OF EPA LEVELS Ahiflower Oil Flaxseed Oil Omega-3 stearidonic acid (SDA) in Ahiflower Oil converts more efficiently in circulating cells in our bodies to long-chain omega-3 EPA found most often in algal and fish oil. Omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) is found in many plant oils like flax, chia, perilla, and sacha inchi, however they lack any SDA. Ahiflower Oil has the highest commercially-available SDA content from a single non-gmo plant.
Sustainable & Traceable Patiently Developed Over a Period Of 12 Years Vegan essential fatty acid source Natural & indigenous plant selection Non-GMO horticultural practices Ecologically sound offering that enhances biodiversity Takes pressure off depleted marine fisheries used for fish oil Best total oil and SDA content from managed seed sources Traceability Currently grown in the United Kingdom, Ahiflower is fully traceable through NCI s proprietary Crop Assured 365 system of quality control which monitors and documents the identity and purity of each harvest, from soil to oil. ID EN TIT Y PRESERVED CONTINUITY Delivering what you want Optimal source of plant-derived omega 3+6 benefits from SDA and GLA - no need for multiple & expensive sources Meets growing demand for vegetarian/vegan omega fatty acids A healthy source of anti-inflammatory omega-6 GLA, not available in fish or flax Neutral taste and smell - no yuck flavor or fishy burps! This is to confirm that Ahiflower oil is manufactured from fully refined and deodorized Buglossoides arvensis seed oil, which contains no detectable protein and is therefore considered to be free of allergens including gluten, which is a protein complex.
