1 Newsletter EBG Gets a new branding EBG in the past few months has undergone a change in terms of its branding identity. The first change that occurred was with the name of the group. Formerly known as Emirates Associated Business Group or EABG ; has recently been changed to Emirates Business Group or EBG. The changes also led to the creation of its new logo. Now that the new company name and logo have become official, other related collaterals are in the pipeline to be revised in order to incorporate the new corporate name and branding. We believe that this change in our corporate identity will not only help us to stay ahead of our times but will also be iconic within and outside the organization. EBG Receives its HR Policies INMA Business Development Consultants had conducted a two day HR Workshop at EBG s head office. This workshop was held on the 15th and 16th of December 2014, with the objective to formally introduce and familiarize the concerned HR personnel and the heads of all subsidiary companies with the new HR Policies and procedures. The workshop was aimed to address various HR related topics in detail, such as: Introducing HR System, HR Modules Awareness, KPI s Development, Manpower Planning, Recruitment, Performance Management, Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits and End of Service. The attendees at this two day workshop also included General Managers and concerned personnel from all subsidiaries. Chairman s New Year Message Over time, Emirates Business Group has steadily grown and this is because our key ingredient to success is the relentless efforts and contributions of every individual employee within our group. 2 Safeer Integrated Systems gets a new GM Mr. Hisham Zireeni, is the newly appointed General Manager for Safeer Integrated System. He will be overlooking the entire operations of SIS and with his confidence and experience, SIS will be propelled to a new and higher level of business success. Mr. Zireeni has over 25 years of experience, working for world s leading business and financial consulting firms, multinational mobile data and voice products manufacturer & integrated data and voice network service providers. He has extensive knowledge and experience in diverse industries rendering wide scope of services in telecom, information technology, management consulting, risk management and renewable energy industries. Mr. Hisham is a PhD & a Master s Degree holder, prior to that, he has earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto-Canada. Before joining Safeer Integrated Systems, Mr. Hisham has occupied different roles in various industries, such as Telecom, IT, Consulting, Manufacturing & Finance. EBG s new IT Manager Mr. Rawad Bader joined EBG Head Office in January 2015, as the Information Technology Manager. Mr. Rawad brings to the group a great deal of experience in his field. He started his career in 2001 and prior to joining EBG, Rawad held the position of IT Manager with Bin Salem Holdings. Rawad holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from Irbid National University in Jordan. Moreover, he holds various certification, such as ITIL, CNA, MCP, MCSA and MCSE. As part of his responsibility, Rawad will be overlooking the IT function and departments of all the group companies. He will be visiting all the subsidiaries companies as part of his initial IT assessment exercise. Mr. Rawad is eager to keep the group updated and abreast with the latest cutting edge IT technology. Mr. Rawad, in a brief statement mentioned A variety of national and international studies indicates that the broadbased deployment of information technology can have a substantial impact on our nation's economic productivity. With the start of a new year, it was also the start of a new fun time for staff members at EBG and a few others within the Group. Displaying their talented and not so talented skills, our football stars now take to the football field weekly to compete against each other with 5 or more aside teams.
