It s a Beautiful Day! In May Wharf T&T launched its 2011 corporate advertising campaign featuring a booming and beautiful working day enabled by a top-notch business broadband network. Endorsed by the talented artiste Sherman Chung, the campaign featured her newly released song It s a Beautiful Day in which Sherman, while wearing very chic stunning outfits, welcomes a bright and cheerful working day and experiences the Wharf T&T ultra high-speed fibre optic network. At the press conference to launch the campaign, Sherman used a Fibre Optic Saber to cleave the board written 終 輸 慢 (Homophone of Sherman Chung s Chinese name in Cantonese), symbolising the end of the inefficient slow copper-based legacy broadband connection. The campaign captures the essence of our +EN network enabling a near universal coverage of FTTD business broadband that facilitates increased cloud service adoption. With FTTD in place, reliable and seamless communications cannot be found anywhere else but here at Wharf T&T. Any enterprise, SMEs in particular, can enjoy the day in every way as everyday is a beautiful day for them. The new standard uses 128 bits for IPv6 addresses that provides up to 340 billion billion billion billion (3.4x10 38 ) unique addresses, which means the address pool is large enough to give multiple IP addresses to every grain of sand on the planet! 5 Corporate News ICT Business Application Training Workshop Series 1 - Building an Intelligent Office As a leading ICT service provider in Hong Kong, Wharf T&T is committed to providing powerful and cost-effective ICT solutions to help SMEs grasp the benefits of increased ICT adoption. We believe that hosting a targeted series of workshops featuring the latest ICT information with professional advice can fulfil long-term demand from SMEs. The first chapter of the ICT Business Application Training Workshop Building an Intelligent Office" was held at the Hong Kong Productivity Council on 31 March It aimed to help SMEs learn more about the essence of ICT with real-life examples and applications in a typical business environment. In partnership with the Hong Kong Productivity Council, this workshop series shows the effort and determination of the company to help SMEs stay competitive by adopting ICT. The first chapter of this workshop series had invited experts from renowned ICT companies including Cisco and Emerson who, together with Wharf T&T, shared professional knowledge and practical experience with participants from administrative and finance fields on the topics of smart IP communications, intelligent office refurbishment, and introduced the concept of green IT. Moreover, a live demonstration was arranged to let participants experience the advanced applications onsite and deepen their understanding of ICT communications. A certificate recognising their commitment to ICT adoption was awarded to all participants after the seminar. These activities include the Charity Laisee Campaign to raise funds for "Hong Kong Christian Service s Service Development Fund ; MSF Orienteering Competition to support Médecins Sans Frontières humanitarian projects and relief work; Earth Hour to take a stand against climate change; Hong Kong Christian Service's Flag Day to support their community service development, blood donation to help give blood and save lives, and a trip to HK Disneyland for under-privileged children to help widen their horizons.
