1 ADDITIONAL ICT SERVICES FOR WORLD 2006 AsiaWorld-Expo s ICT infrastructure provides exhibitors with a wide range of services from telephony (analogue and IP, broadband and wireless internet services, ISDN lines, videoconferencing and fibre optics, etc.). PCCW, Hong Kong s largest communications provider and AsiaWorld-Expo service partner, is the exclusive provider of ICT services in the centre. In order to provide exhibitors with greater flexibility for their ICT requirements, AWE is providing the following additional services and arrangements: Dedicated internet In addition to shared broadband connection, exhibitors can now order dedicated, symmetric type of Internet Service riding on Metro-IP service as network transport. Built upon Ethernet technology, Metro-Internet offers end-to-end Ethernet connection. The bandwidths offered are 3M and 5M. It supports VLAN Technology (IEEE802.1Q) and Ethernet Interface (10BaseT, GE, FE). Dual Ethernet interface router is included. In order to guarantee service availability, please note the deadline for ordering dedicated internet lines is 31 August International leased lines: International Managed Bandwidth Service (IMBS) is a continuous, point-to-point private channel for voice, data and fax. Bandwidth supports from 64K to 2Mbps and interface can be V.35, X.21 and G.703. Pricing depends on the final location of the connection. Satellite TV and communication: Please contact AsiaWorld-Expo for details of satellite TV and satellite bandwidth connections. Turnkey projects: AsiaWorld-Expo can provide full ICT turnkey solution to exhibitors including all ICT equipment, LAN setting and monitoring, software installation and configuration. Exhibitors networks: Exhibitors can set up their own networks on their stands or use AsiaWorld-Expo s infrastructure for both wired and wireless networks. Exhibitors networks connecting to the internet or other networks must go through AsiaWorld-Expo infrastructure and order the relevant services. For wireless network, in order to avoid interferences with other exhibitors networks and to the AsiaWorld-Expo s coverage, exhibitors are required to provide AsiaWorld-Expo with details of their installations no later that 31 August 2006, and abide by the Regulations for Wireless Networks below.
