10 About Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and Higg Index Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) is a member-based global apparel trade organization that promote environmentally and socially positive innovations and best practices across the apparel/fashion value chain ( Higg Index A suite of sustainability assessment tools developed by SAC and for use by its members The Higg Index 1.0 was released on June 26, 2012 The Higg Index 2.0 was released on December 11, 2013 is primarily an online web portal for indicator based assessment tool for apparel and footwear products based largely on industry best practices such as the Eco Index, Nike s Apparel Environmental Design Tool, Global Social Compliance Program (GSCP) reference tools, and Social/Labor Best Practice Tools (e.g., SAI Social Fingerprint, FLA Sustainable Compliance Initiative, etc.) > Schneider Electric has been SAC s technology partner on the Higg Index 2.0 web tool development since
