5 Delivery Method/Study Mode: The 2+ year, part-time programme will be delivered on one evening per week between 6pm and 9pm. Because of the modular structure, enrolment onto the programme is permitted at various points during the academic year. Entry Criteria: General admissions requirements of the programme are as follows: u A second class honours degree in any subject, or students holding a qualification recognised as graduate equivalent by the University, plus 2 years management experience, at an appropriate level u Candidates without a first degree will be admitted to the programme provided they have extensive managerial experience, at an appropriate level. This will be subject to an interview with the Programme Leader u Candidates with an ILM/CMI Level 7 Diploma or equivalent will receive 60 credits and join the programme at the start of year 2 u Based on APCL and APEL of armed forces professional leadership and management courses and experience, the following credits will be awarded: Sgt Nil WO/Lt/Capt 30 credits (Modules EMBM01, EMBM02, EMBM03) Lt Cdr/Maj or above 60 credits (i.e. start second year of study) Cost: The total fee for the course is 7,500 ( 2,500 per year) or 416 per 10 credit and 833 per 20 credit module respectively. 7 Delivery Method/Study Mode: The programme comprises 3 x 10 credit modules, with each module designed to be delivered in a two-day workshop, or to suit organisational delivery requirements. Entry Criteria: General admissions requirements of the programme is a Level 4 qualification or equivalent. Candidates without a Level 4 qualification may be admitted to the programme provided they have managerial experience at an appropriate level. This is subject to an interview with the programme leader. Cost: This course is bespoke and tailored to the requirements of the organisation so will attract an individual cost. 8 Title of Programme: MA in Professional Studies (Leadership & Management) Overview: The MA Professional Studies (Leadership & Management) is a work-centred, project based programme, which enables students to develop a critical appreciation of fundamental changes taking place within their professional context as well as the opportunity to contribute to the planning process necessary to meet the challenges these changes present. Why study the MA in Professional Studies (Leadership & Management) at the University of St Mark & St John: This programme provides a particularly responsive alternative approach to professional development that is rooted in the concept of action research and encourages individuals to explore issues as they emerge within their professional context. Programme Content: The programme is structured around a flexible though clearly framed series of supervised projects (stages). Each project or stage focuses on a clear theme which is key to a critical appreciation of the professional area and has its own qualification outcome. u Stage one (60 credits - PG Cert): Conceptual and Theoretical Discourses u Stage two (60 credits PG Dip): Contemporary Contextual Issues u Stage three (60 credits MA): Dissertation (Developmental Considerations) It is anticipated that each stage will be completed over the period of one academic year. There is however, scope for this to be extended where appropriate.

9 Delivery Method/Study Mode: Delivery of the programme is based on the allocation of a project supervisor for each stage. This supervisor will have expertise in the chosen area and will provide guidance throughout the process. In addition to project supervision, research workshops will be offered during the course of the year, when students will be brought together to explore particular research themes. Electronic resources will be available to support each stage and additional tutorial support will be made available as appropriate. It is anticipated that one of the projects undertaken will lead to a joint publication (supervisor and student). Entry Criteria: It is generally anticipated that applicants will be graduates and will already be engaged in work within the profession. 10 Title of Programme: Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring Overview: If you are committed to supporting and assisting the professional development of others, then the Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring is for you! The programme caters for a diverse range of professionals (for example, from youth and community work, business, leadership and management, early years and education) that utilise coaching and mentoring as part of their practice. Why study the Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring at the University of St Mark & St John: The diversity of participants is one of the strengths of the programme, offering opportunities to share experience in a dynamic and interactive environment, and broadening participants understanding of the utility of coaching and mentoring in a range of settings. Programme Content: This Postgraduate Certificate comprises 2 modules, each worth 30 credits at Level 7. Module 1 Advanced Coaching and Mentoring Module 2 Coaching and Mentoring in Practice Delivery Method/Study Mode: This programme runs for 12 months and is organised in two six-month blocks. Entry Criteria: u Although prior experience in coaching and/or mentoring is not essential, applicants will need to be engaged in paid or voluntary work (full or part time) where coaching and/or mentoring is or could be undertaken u Normally, a good first degree (minimum 2:2 honours) u Non-standard applications are also welcome and careful consideration will be given to those who can present a case based on their career history, experience, and other learning Cost: Tuition fees are 1,600.
