1 ANZSOG Executive Master of Public Administration 2016 University of Melbourne elective subjects Steps to select your electives 1. Search for subjects: Below is a list of all pre-approved electives. These subjects have been selected and approved by each faculty and, in most cases, are suitable for any EMPA student to select. If you wish to select a subject from this list, you do not need to seek Subject Coordinator approval. The only exception to this is for subjects with a LAWS code, offered by Melbourne Law School. In order to take any LAWS subject, you must complete an Inter-faculty enrolment form. Please contact Rachel Jenzen on (03) or rachelej@unimelb.edu.au to request a form. To search for other University of Melbourne subject options, not included in the list of pre-approved electives, see the online handbook at: If the subject you wish to take is not on the below list, you must seek Subject Coordinator approval prior to submitting your Subject Change form. You can find contact details for the Subject Coordinator on the right-hand side of a subject entry.
2 When seeking Subject Coordinator approval via , please include the following details: Your full name Student number Academic background Relevant employment information Each subject entry on the handbook also has a link to the timetable. You can find exact teaching dates for intensive subjects on the online timetable: 2. Complete an ANZSOG subject change form Once you have filled out all applicable sections on the Subject Change form, you will need to forward it to ANZSOG who will assess your selection. Your subject change form will then be forwarded to Melbourne Business School for processing. Melbourne Business School will you to your University addresses with an outcome. IMPORTANT NOTE: It is University policy to only contact students via their University of Melbourne address. You need to ensure that you check your student s at least once per week. Alternatively, you can have your student s redirected to your personal or work account. You can arrange this manually by logging into the student portal and changing your settings. 3. Enrol in your subjects Once you have been contacted by Melbourne Business School you will be able to enrol into your electives. To do this you will need to login to using your student number and password.
