5 TAFE QUEENSLAND GOLD COAST LOCATIONS TAFE Queensland Gold Coast has five purpose built campus locations; four of which deliver our schools programs. Each of these campus offer a wide range of courses, programs and on-site facilities. A variety of public transport options are readily accessible, please contact Translink for detailed information on travel routes, timetables and tickets. COOMERA CREATIVE & MARINE SOUTHPORT ASHMORE WHAT KIND OF SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE? SUPPORT Disability support is available, including locating and organising equipment and teacher liaison on your behalf. An Indigenous Student Support Officer is available to assist with various issues and to support you during your studies. COUNSELLING Free and confidential counselling is available to assist and support you with personal, study or work-related issues and career guidance. 6 ABOUT TAFE QUEENSLAND GOLD COAST SCHOOLS PROGRAM FAST TRACK YOUR CAREER WITH A TAFE GOLD COAST SCHOOLS PROGRAM. With a TAFE Gold Coast Schools Program you typically attend school four days per week and TAFE Gold Coast one day per week. For online based courses, it is expected that the equivalent of one day per week is devoted to your TAFE Schools Program study. A range of Schools Program qualifications are fee-free for students and covered under VETiS funding. Please ensure you research your decision in choosing the most suitable qualification to study as students are only entitled to receive one qualification funded by VETiS. 7 THE 3 E S OF GETTING STARTED 1 2 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST 3 ENDORSEMENT ENROLMENT LETTERS NOTIFICATIONS Submit an online Expression of Interest (EOI) Log on to TAFE Gold Coast s website tafegoldcoast.edu.au and submit an online EOI by 5pm Friday 24th October To find the EOI please follow the following steps: > Click on the drop down menu Study with us > Click on School students > Schools program. Schools are notified of all students who have submitted EOI s. Schools will be required to provide an endorsement letter for their students before TAFE Gold Coast can proceed any further. You will be ed enrolment instructions, along with enrolment forms to the address specified in your EOI. All courses will be filled on a first in first served manner, and you will need to submit enrolment paperwork and make any applicable payment before your spot is secure. Enrolments must be finalised by 5pm Friday 28th November COMMENCE YOUR STUDIES WITH TAFE QUEENSLAND GOLD COAST! Classes will commence in January/February 2015 Important: From 1 July 2014, each year 10, 11 or 12 student in Queensland may access ONE funded employment stream qualification while at school (students who at 30 June had already completed, or commenced, one or more funded positions will be eligible for one additional enrolment after 30 June).
