1 Beauty Therapy Cass Beauty will not only provide you with the training and skills necessary to become a Beauty Therapist, but will teach you the skills necessary to open your own business. Cass Beauty has put together a Beauty Diploma which includes essential business skills for those wishing to secure their future plus training in make-up and facials, as well as aromatherapy massage, reflexology, body treatments and waxing just to name a few. Students who enrol in a Diploma of Beauty Therapy have the opportunity to enrol in Certificate II in Nail Technology for a small additional cost. There is no additional cost for salon training. Cass Beauty supports and uses Dermalogica skin products. Dermalogica provides student prizes and supports the college and its students by providing specialised training at no cost. Product is available for students to purchase at a discount to retail cost. 2 Certificate III in Beauty Services - SIB30110 Part-time run within the Diploma of Beauty Therapy course from February to November. This includes 60 hours of required salon practice. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are competent in interacting with customers, providing a range of beauty services which may include make-up, waxing, nail technology, lash and brow treatments, and demonstrating and selling retail skin care and other cosmetic products. Work would be undertaken in beauty therapy salons and the wider beauty industry. This qualification is designed to reflect the role of those who perform complex or non-routine activities involving individual responsibility or autonomy or collaboration with others as part of a team. Pathways from the qualification: Graduates from the SIB30110 Certificate III in Beauty Services may undertake the SIB50110 Diploma of Beauty Therapy wherever it is offered by a Registered Training Organisation. 3 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy - SIB40110 Full-time from February to November. This includes 100 hours of required salon practice This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are competent in a prescribed range of beauty therapy treatments and services including facial massage, lash and brow treatments, nail technology services, make-up, waxing, body massage and aromatherapy; as well as selling retail skin care and cosmetic products. Work would be undertaken as skilled beauty therapists in the beauty therapy services stream of the beauty industry. This qualification is designed to reflect the role of those who work relatively autonomously. It involves the performance of a broad range of skilled applications, including requirements to evaluate and analyse current practices, develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices, and some provision of leadership and guidance to others in the application and planning of skills. Pathways from the qualification: Graduates from the SIB40110 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy may undertake the SIB50110 Diploma of Beauty Therapy wherever it is offered by a Registered Training Organisation. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are competent in a broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services which may include facial massage, body massage, hair removal, spa treatments, lash and brow treatments, nail technology services, make-up, aromatherapy, providing advice on beauty treatments and services, selling retail skin care and cosmetic products and coordinating a work team. Work would be undertaken as skilled beauty therapists in salons, spas and the wider beauty industry. This qualification is designed to reflect the role of those who work relatively autonomously. It involves the self-directed application of knowledge and skills with substantial depth in some areas where judgement is required in planning and selecting appropriate equipment, services and techniques. Applications involve personal responsibility and autonomy in performing complex technical operations. The work reflected in this qualification may include participating in teams and group or team coordination. 7 Certificate II in Nail Technology - SIB20210 Part-time run within the Diploma of Beauty Therapy course from February to November. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are competent in interacting with customers, providing manicure and pedicare services, applying acrylic or gel nail enhancement and applying nail art. Work would be undertaken in the nail technology stream of the beauty industry. This qualification is designed to reflect the role of persons who perform a prescribed range of functions, involving known routines and procedures and with some accountability for the quality of outcomes. Pathways from the Qualification: Graduates from the SIB20210 Certificate II in Nail Technology will get credit transfers in other Beauty Training Package qualifications such as SIB30110 Certificate III in Beauty Services, SIB40110 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy and SIB50110 Diploma of Beauty Therapy as well as other courses delivered by other Registered Training Organisations.
