Pathway careers encompass the design and production of visual communications. Visual communication is the conveying of ideas and information in forms that can be seen. Students will learn to plan, prepare, and interpret drawings and models through traditional drafting or computer-aided techniques. Topics include mechanical bonding, joining, cohesive bonding, adhesive bonding, and mechanical fastening. Newer welding methods include laser, ultrasonic, and electron beam.
