The community college course must align with the high school course content standards. English: Enrollment in any community college English course is dependent upon the appropriate score on the placement exam or successful completion of the prerequisite English course. Once the student has taken the assessment for placement into an English course, he or she should also meet with a counselor in the matriculation office to ensure the correct course is taken.
