7 Open Enrollment 1. If you are interested in a program not offered at your home school you must complete the online "Open Enrollment" application. 2. Open enrollment forms are available on the DUSD homepage at 3. If you attend another HS other than your home school, you will likely need to provide your own transportation to and from school. Limited transportation may be available. Applications for bus passes will be available after successful completion of enrollment.

8 Advance Placement Classes AP You can earn college credit!! Advanced Placement (AP) classes are available your 10, 11 and 12th grade years in the following courses: Calculus AB Statistics English Lang. 9 Dual Enrollment Classes You can earn even more college credit!! Dual Enrollment Classes may be available to students in the following content areas: Career and Technical Education Classes English Math Science Social Studies

10 Cambridge Dysart High School School-wide (all freshmen) Cambridge English, Math, Biology and World History Honors classes available Students may remain enrolled at DHS and take AP or Dual Enrollment classes Willow Canyon High School Cambridge 9th grade courses are Honors courses Students can remain enrolled at WCHS and take AP or IB level classes Cambridge Spanish and Art & Design available Upon successful passing of Cambridge exams, students are eligible for the Grand Canyon Diploma.

12 Freshmen COURSE SELECTION Core classes (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) Core classes will be assigned based on the results of your placement tests & teacher recommendation. (i.e. Honors Placement) Electives Please choose 1 elective and 3 alternate electives. Write in the course number and course name on your course selection sheet.

15 Freshmen Placement in High School English and Math Courses Placement into English 1-2 (H), Algebra 1-2 (H), Geometry 1-2 and Geometry 1-2 (H) will be based on: Proficiency on benchmark assessments Proficiency on Algebra placement assessment Teacher recommendation Please take your benchmark and placement assessments seriously.

16 Course Selection Reminders Thoroughly read your Course Selection Guide at Review and discuss information with your parents/ guardians. If you are planning to attend a university, please refer to the pages in the Course Selection Guide for advanced college preparation information. Carefully choose your electives, indicating them from 1-4. Write in the course # and name. Return signed Course Selection Form to your elementary teacher by Friday, January 23rd

Open enrollment applications need to be completed online ASAP!

18 Your Schedule Every effort will be made to schedule your elective choices by your order of listed preference using the 1-4 system. Scheduling changes will ONLY be made for academic reasons. Elective choices will not be changed after you turn in your form. High school schedules are built on elective choices.
