2 DEPARTMENT REGISTER FOR PROGRAMS ONLINE! WebTrac is our new online registration system, which provides our customers with an additional method of registering for most Recreation Department Programs. Those with internet access can view program availability, register for most programs, and view their program history, 24 hours a day! You can shop for activity enrollment by selecting your programs, placing them in your shopping cart, and checking out using a Visa, Mastercard or Discover to complete your transaction on our secured site. In order to use WebTrac for the first time you must have a temporary user name and password established by the Recreation Department. To obtain your temporary user name, password, and first time log in instructions contact the Washington County Recreation Department. Children s tickets will be exchanged for an enchanted bag containing an autograph album, royal tokens, and a special ticket for magical fairy dust. NEW: Concessions will be available for purchase at an additional fee. The event will conclude with a Royal Ball for everyone in attendance. This event does sell out so make sure to get tickets as early as possible. EVERYONE must be registered and have a ticket to enter. Tickets are limited and are first-come/first-serve. No tickets will be sold at the door the day of the event. NO TICKETS SOLD EVENT NIGHT! The Park at Dark is an age appropriate activity suited best for pre-school and elementary school aged children. The family friendly atmosphere will host Halloween themed activities that are meant to be less scary, and more fun. Here are just some of the activities that will be available: games, exciting candy prizes, spooky stories, great hayrides, scarecrow stuffing (Bring your own clothes), coloring contests, costume contests, scooter rides, moonbounces, and temporary tattoos. 14 YOUTH DANCE BALLET/TAP/JAZZ REGISTRATION NIGHT AUG HCC ARCC Gymnasium ABOUT THE PROGRAM: We offer a variety of classes for all skill levels for children ages 4 and up. As times change, we have also experienced a change in the style and types of classes offered. You will notice that we are on the cutting edge with the variety of classes that are available to your child. SESSIONS: Each Youth Dance season begins in August and continues through May. The Youth Dance Program is broken into two sessions (Fall & Spring). Students focus on technique and skills during the Fall classes. In the spring, classes build on skill and technique while rehearsing the choreographed routines performed at the Spring recital. ENROLLMENT: Youth Dance Registration opens on August 10 during our Dance Registration Night. Class sizes are limited and classes are filled on a first-come/first-serve basis. Registrations will continue to be accepted until September 8, if spaces are available. Only students enrolled in the Fall session are given the opportunity, and permitted, to register for the Spring session. Spring session classes will be offered at the same times/days/fees as the Fall classes. Participation in the Spring dance recital requires registration and participation in both Fall and Spring dance sessions. AGE: Participants must be the age listed by September 1 to be eligible for, and to enroll in the class. SHOES: Appropriate dance shoes are required for all classes. FACILITY: All classes are offered once a week. Classes are offered at Pangborn Elementary School and the ARCC at Hagerstown Community College. Make sure to confirm your class location, days, dates and times. Come experience our huge dance space at Pangborn Elementary School Gymnasium which has all the amenities of a professional studio such as dance surface floor covering, portable mirrors and portable ballet barres. REGISTRATION: Registrations for our Fall/Spring Dance program will NOT be accepted before Dance Registration Night (8/10/15). Program supervisor and instructors have the authority to evaluate participants skill level and place them in the appropriate classes. Class sizes are limited and classes are filled on a first-come/first-serve basis. REGISTRATION FORM: You can find the Youth Dance registration form on page 11. Choose the age & skill-appropriate class for your participant. Mark the coordinating class registration number on your registration form. Complete the Youth Dance registration form and submit it, along with your payment during Dance Registration Night or to our office by September 8.
