1 YOUR FARM. AT WORK. CORPORATE WELLNESS PROGRAMS Join your coworkers outside to help plant, maintain, and harvest organic produce from your company s own urban farm. Green City Growers corporate wellness garden programs help companies throughout the greater Boston area enhance the sustainability of their campuses, improve the health and wellness of employees (and attract and retain high quality candidates), get involved with and give back to the community, and receive positive press. The experienced, highly professional urban farmers at GCG are horticultural experts who specialize in small-scale urban growing. GCG has partnered with companies and educational institutions to continuously advance the quality of our services and grow food anywhere the sun shines! CURRENT CORPORATE CLIENT PROJECTS Google (Cambridge) Akamai Technologies (Cambridge) athenahealth (Watertown) Verizon (Waltham) Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare (Wellesley/Quincy) Massachusetts Medical Society (Waltham) Mapfre USA/Commerce Insurance (Webster) Abt Associates (Cambridge) National Grid (Waltham)
2 WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOUR BUSINESS A HANDS-ON EDUCATION Green City Growers farmers are not simply horticultural experts. We are a team of highly trained and passionate educators who strive to teach all skill levels in a relatable, hands-on way. Our goal is to empower all those with whom we work, and help them to learn the skills necessary to grow their own food at home or in their community. In the process, your employees will gain a greater understanding of where food comes from, how it is grown, and what healthy eating really means. ADAPTABILITY & CUSTOMIZATION Because the needs and desires of each company are different, no two Green City Growers farms or programs are ever quite the same. Our raised beds come in a variety of options and looks, with a number of additional extras such as pest fencing and cold frames for season extension. Our educational programming is offered weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, in addition to supplemental maintenance services. It s a different feeling than touching my keyboard all day, and it s nice to get out and see something green and growing and battle some bugs instead of my keyboard for a while Marie Duprey, HPHC Volunteer FARM MAINTENANCE In addition to educational programs, GCG offers weekly maintenance services to ensure a bountiful, beautiful yield throughout the growing season. Produce harvested can be taken home with volunteers, donated to a food shelter like Food for Free, or incorporated into your campus s on-site restaurant or cafeteria.

Raised beds are a great way to grow produce in a contained, clean aesthetic on your property, and can be placed on top of any surface, including concrete, rooftops, and gravel. Hardware, trellises, drip irrigation with timer, and GCG s own custom blended high-quality organic soil are included. Nontoxic stains and bed colors available upon request. Daily activities consist of a combination of hands-on farming tasks, group discussions and educational activities. Total one-time installation cost for 5 4 x8 beds with fencing and cold frames: $9,500-$15,000. Custom designs and garden structures can be quoted upon request. Farming activities include planting, weeding, watering, pest management, trouble-shooting, harvesting, and basic farm maintenance.
