The ability to a ract and retain talent will be a cri cal factor for successful business performance in the future. We share key findings from our study conducted by The Engagement Ins tute TM, the results of which will support engagement professionals and HR prac oners in their efforts to foster a culture of engagement to drive business results. About Amy Lui Abel: Amy Lui Abel is managing director of human capital at The Conference Board. Dr. Abel was previously a director of leadership development with Morgan Stanley suppor ng high poten al senior leaders globally. She has also held roles at Accenture, Adobe Systems, JPMorganChase, and led a private consul ng organiza on performance prac ce. Dr. Abel has taught at New York University Stern School of Business in management and organiza on studies and served on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) New York Chapter. She was named Outstanding Alumni of the Year from New York University Business Educa on Program. Based on her doctoral research study about corporate universi es and organiza onal learning, she was recognized for Best Workplace Learning Disserta on from the American Educa onal Research Associa on Workplace Learning Group. These seemingly simple requirements, however, have taken volumes of regula ons to explain and have generated thousands of lawsuits since the FLSA was enacted over 70 years ago.
