5 Training Services ISO 9001 QMS SERVICES & TRAINING At SAQI, be believe that an effec ve Quality Management System, should not only improve your company's processes, but should also be evident to your bo om line. The ISO 9001 standard is based on a strong Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) improvement methodology, and we believe that it should be seamlessly integrated with your other con nuous improvement programs. SAQI offers assistance with implementa on, internal audi ng and ISO 9001 training for members and non members of SAQI. We will also advise and assist in the total integra on of your ISO 9001 based QMS & other Con nuous Improvement programs within your organisa ons. All our prac oners are experienced industry and service specialists and not just theore cal consultants and that's why we believe in developing your QMS around your needs and not an off-the-shelf one size fits all solu on. LEAN & SIX SIGMA IMPROVEMENT METHODOLOGIES Lean & Six Sigma, are both very powerful con nuous improvement methodologies, developed by Toyota and Motorola. SAQI does not provide an integrated LeanSigma curriculum, as we believe that the two methodologies have different approaches and is dependent on your company's current culture and process maturity level. Our Lean and Six Sigma facilitators are well experienced, and have previously effec vely implemented these methodologies in their own respec ve organisa ons. They will be able to guide you through the pi alls, and will assist you not only in the implementa on and training of your CI programs, but also in the integra on of your CI program into your cer fied ISO 9001 QMS. 6 Training Services The Toyota manufacturing system is based on this philosophy of Con nuous Improvements (Kaizens) and is used daily to improve a process when inefficiencies and opportuni es for improvement are iden fied. Why join our Rapid Kaizen Workshops? SAQI can provide you with a Prac cal In-house workshop, where one of our facilitators will facilitate and coach your team through a prac cal improvement Kaizen event in your own organisa on. The combina on of our prac cal Lean approach and our skilled Lean prac oners, will result in an effec ve and efficient skill transfer process to you as our client, enabling you to drive your own improvement ini a ves. We also offer a two day workshop at our SAQI offices, which includes a prac cal simula on exercise, to create an opera onal process environment. SUPPLIER & SMME DEVELOPMENT Most organisa ons are under tremendous pressure to develop SMME suppliers to improve their own BEE score card. Organisa ons do not always have the necessary me and resources to effec vely execute their procurement strategy and are le with below standard service and product quality from these SMME suppliers. SAQI can help you with the design and development of your SMME supplier development strategy, and can assist you in implemen ng the basic Advanced Product Quality Planning APQP tools with your New and SMME supplier to ensure process and product improvements. These APQP core tools include: Process design & development Failure Mode Effect Analysis & Control plans Process & Quality Standards and documenta on Process capability and Sta s cal controls Measurement system analysis & Calibra on Problem solving & Visual Management techniques Process & Quality controls CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL TEACHER DEVELOPMENT (CPTD) The South African Council for Educators (SACE) has introduced a mandatory CPTD programme for all registered teachers at South African schools. The programme came into effect in January 2014 and SAQI Courses are endorsed by SACE and earn Professional Development (PD) points. Under the aegis of SAQI, our educa on specialist gives such courses. The provider number is NG Cer ficates are issued by SAQI. The main course is an introduc on to Total Quality Educa on (TQE) The workshop is an adapta on of the best principles and prac ces found in the business, industrial and other professional sectors. The TQE model iden fies five core pillars common to Quality schools. The course shows the applica on of each pillar in the context of the school and there are a further 5 support courses also given by SAQI.
