1 FAQ What is California Credit Union s Pay Card? CCU s Pay Card is a Visa -branded reusable debit card created exclusively for LAUSD employees. The employee has access to their pay 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at ATMs and everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. How do I sign up for a Pay Card? You can enroll for a Pay Card one of two ways: 1. Visit ccupaycard.org and click the Enroll Today button. Fill out and submit the form electronically. 2. Get a Pay Card Enrollment Form from the LAUSD Payroll Department or a California Credit Union branch location. Fill out and return the form to the LAUSD Payroll Department or mail the form using the pre-paid envelope provided with the form. To complete either enrollment form you will need your LAUSD Employee Identification Number, your Social Security or Tax ID number, your current mailing address, and your LAUSD address I don t know my LAUSD address. You can call California Credit Union s automated Pay Card Access System 24 hours a day at (855) ; Representatives are also available at this number Monday through Friday, 7am - 7pm and Saturday, 9am - 2pm. To report lost, stolen or damaged cards, call (855) (within the U.S.) or (909) (outside the U.S.) What kind of information can I get on the automated Pay Card Access System, from a Representative, or through Online Banking? Automated Pay Card Access System information options include: Check account balance and recent transactions Check date/amount of last deposit Choose to speak to a Customer Service Representative during business hours Service Representatives can help you with the above options, plus: Change of name and address Respond to questions about transactions on your account statement Investigate fraudulent transactions Process lost/stolen/damaged cards

2 Request an emergency card replacement Request an emergency cash transfer Close your account Online Banking options include: Balance inquiry Transaction history View and Print E-statements ATM locator When will my paycheck be deposited onto to the card? Your paycheck will be deposited on your card on the date of your scheduled payday. Do I have to take my entire pay on payday? No. You may use your Pay Card for any portion of your available balance as often as you like anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, at point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and at ATMs. Safeguard your money and take out only what cash you need. How can I withdraw my entire paycheck if I need it? You can withdraw your entire paycheck: - from a California Credit Union ATM free of charge - from any financial institution s branch location, including any CCU branch. Cardholders can make representative-assisted withdrawals at most bank branch locations in the U.S. You can make withdrawals from any ATM that accepts CO-OP, Plus, or Interlink cards. Non-CCU ATMs may place a limit on how much you can withdraw at a time. Also, be aware that non-ccu or non-co-op ATMs may charge a fee. Only CCU and CO-OP ATMs are fee-free. Will I get a new Pay Card every pay period? No. Upon enrollment, you will be sent your Pay Card which is a Visa-branded reusable debit card. This means that each pay day, your entire pay will be loaded onto that same card. If you withdraw all your funds, you need to keep the card. On your next pay day, that same card will be credited with your pay again, and you will need it to access your funds. Can anyone from LAUSD see how I spend my money? No. LAUSD employees cannot see the details of how you spend your money. How can check the balance on my Pay Card? The easiest way to check your balance is by logging in to Online Banking at ccupaycard.org. You can also complete a balance inquiry using CCU s automated Pay Card Access System at (855) or at an ATM or via Text Message. It is recommended you perform a balance inquiry before performing transactions so you will know how much money is available on your Pay Card.

3 Can I transfer funds from my Pay Card to another account? You can make individual, non-recurring transfers to other accounts through our EZ Connect service. Call CCU s Pay Card Access System at (855) or visit at CCU branch to set up the transfer. You will be asked for the account number, name and routing number of the account that you would like to have the funds transferred to, so be prepared to provide that information. It may take up to 4 business days to process your transfer. Can I get cash at a Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal? Many merchants, like grocery and convenience stores, will offer you the ability to get cash back when completing a point-of-sale purchase with your PIN. You will be debited for your original purchase amount plus the amount of cash you received. How do I use my card at a Point-of-Sale (POS)? You can make transactions at any merchant that accepts Visa debit cards. Simply swipe your card, select credit, and then sign for your purchase. What happens if I don t have enough money on my card to cover a purchase? If the transaction amount exceeds the amount on your Pay Card, and you do not have access to any additional funds, your transaction will be declined. If you have other funds, and you know the amount left on your Pay Card, tell the cashier you would like to debit that amount from your card and pay for the remainder of the transaction with cash or credit card. It is recommended you perform a balance inquiry before performing transactions so you will know how much money is available in your Pay Card account. What happens if I return a product I purchased with the Pay Card? You can return items purchased with your Pay Card. How you receive your money back depends on the retailer you purchased the product from; each retailer handles returns differently. If a retailer credits money back to your card, it may take several business days for those funds to show up in your account. The amount of time the crediting takes varies by retailer, so be sure to ask the retailer for return payment details. Can I make purchases online? Yes! You can shop at any online retailer that accepts Visa. To make an online purchase, simply follow the website s instructions for paying by credit card and select Visa as the card type when prompted. The amount of your purchase will be debited from your account. What ATMs can I use? You can use these ATMs free of charge: - All California Credit Union ATMs - All CO-OP Network ATMs nationwide You can make withdrawals from any ATM that accepts CO-OP, Plus, or Interlink cards, but ATMs that are not CCU s may place a limit on how much you can withdraw at a time. Also, be aware that non-ccu or non-co-op ATMs may charge a fee. Only CCU and CO-OP ATMs are fee-free. What s a CO-OP ATM? How do I know if an ATM is in-network? In addition to CCU ATMs, CCU has partnered with the CO-OP Network to provide you with access to over 28,000 fee-free ATMs across the United States. These ATMs are considered in-network.

4 CO-OP ATMs are ATMs at other credit unions and ATMs located at many popular retailers including many 7-Elevens, Costco and Walgreens. Look for the CO-OP Network logo anywhere on the ATM to determine if an ATM is part of the network; an example of the logo is on the back of your Pay Card. You will also see Interlink and Plus logos. Your Pay Card will work at ATMs that accept Interlink and Plus cards, but you may be charged a fee. Where are in-network ATMs located? CCU and CO-OP Network ATMs are considered in-network. CCU ATMs are located at CCU branches and select sites in the Los Angles area. Through the CO-OP Network, you have fee-free access to over 28,000 ATMs nationally, with many located in greater Los Angeles! To locate CO-OP ATMs in your area, log on to CCU s Pay Card website, ccupaycard.org and click the ATM and Locations tab, and select the Fee-Free ATMs and Cash Back page. Other ways to locate a CO-OP Network ATM near you: Call SITE-CO-OP for locations through your phone Download the ATM locator App from the iphone App Store Text a street address or ZIP Code or City State to to find the closest location Add the CO-OP Network locator to your GPS Can I use CCU branches? Yes, you can visit any of CCU s 13 branch locations to access your pay, ask questions, or address any concerns you may have about your Pay Card. Where are CCU branches? To find the CCU branch location nearest you, log on to ccupaycard.org and click the ATMs and Locations tab for branch listings or call (855) CCU branches are located in the following neighborhoods: Beaudry (LAUSD Headquarters), Carson, Covina, Downey (LACOE Campus), Glendale, Inglewood, North Hills, North Hollywood, Pasadena, Rosenell Terrace, Torrance, Valencia, and West LA. Does the Pay Card have a monthly service fee? No. There is no monthly fee to maintain your Pay Card. Does the Pay Card have an activation fee? No. There is no fee for you to enroll or activate your Pay Card. Will I be charged a fee each pay day when my pay is loaded onto my Pay Card? No. Your entire pay is loaded onto your Pay Card for free each pay day, no matter how many times a month you are paid. Only LAUSD payroll deposits can be put on the card; you cannot independently put funds on the Pay Card. When are transaction fees charged? Transaction fees are charged as they occur; please refer to the Pay Card Fee Schedule for the types of transactions and amounts. Can I deposit money on to the card from other sources? No outside funds can be deposited onto the card other than your LAUSD pay.

5 Can my Pay Card have joint ownership with my spouse? No. All Pay Cards will be issued in your name only, similar to how your paycheck is issued in only your name. How can I verify my paycheck is accurate after I enroll in the CCU Pay Card or direct deposit? You can access your Time Statement and Online Pay Stub 24/7 by logging in to the LAUSD Employee Self Service website here: My pay isn t correct; who should I contact? Please contact the LAUSD Customer Service Center at This line is staffed from 8am - 5pm. Will I receive monthly statements? Yes, you will receive electronic statements - E-statements - for your Pay Card. E-statements are provided through CCU s Online Banking. To access your E-statements: 1. Log in to your Online Banking account. (Don t have an Online Banking account? No problem signing up is simple. Just click on the Enroll link inside the Online Banking Access box and follow the prompts.) 2. Click the Statements section found under the Accounts heading. 3. Click the Enter button that appears on the page. You ll be able to view and print 14 month s worth of statements. You can also view up to 18 months of transaction history for your Pay Card through Online Banking. Regularly checking your statements or transaction history is crucial to protecting yourself from fraud. How do I report a lost, stolen or damaged card? Call CCU s Pay Card Access System at (855) ; or visit any CCU branch location as soon as possible. How do I obtain a replacement Pay Card? Call CCU s Pay Card Access System at (855) or visit a CCU branch. A representative will order your new Pay Card. Your new card will arrive within 5-7 business days of the order being received. If you need the card sooner, request expedited service to receive your new card in 2-3 business days for a cost of $ How do I access my funds if my card is lost or stolen? If your Pay Card is lost or stolen, and you need funds off your Pay Card, visit a CCU branch and speak with a Representative. You will be asked to provide a valid form of ID, and then you will be able to withdraw any available funds from your Pay Card. You can also call our Pay Card Access System at (855) and request a check be sent to you. The check will be sent to the address we have on file for you, so make sure to keep your information with CCU up-to-date. What do I do if my card isn t working? If your Pay Card is not working, or you think it is malfunctioning, call CCU s Pay Card Access System at (855) and speak with a Representative or visit a CCU branch location.

6 I ve lost my PIN; how do I get a new one? I can t remember my PIN; can I change it? If you have lost or forgotten your Pay Card PIN, visit a CCU branch to have a Representative immediately issue you a new PIN. You can also call CCU s Pay Card Access System at (855) to have a PIN reminder mailed to you. For security purposes, Representatives are not able to give you a new PIN over the phone. How do I get my name or address changed on this account? You can update your Pay Card information in person at a CCU branch, or over the phone by calling CCU s Pay Card Access System at (855) How can I report suspected fraud or dispute a transaction on my Pay Card? To report suspected fraud or dispute a transaction, call CCU s Pay Card Access System at (855) (within the U.S.) or 1 + (909) (outside the U.S) as soon as possible. You can also visit a CCU branch, or notify CCU via secure link available in Online Banking. Remember to check your monthly E-statement or transaction history on a regular basis to catch fraudulent transactions as soon as possible. You have 60 days from receipt of a monthly statement to dispute a transaction. How can I protect my Pay Card against fraud? Ensure your contact information is up-to-date with CCU, so you can be reached if a problem arises. Copy the customer service phone number (855) from the back of your card and keep it in a separate location from your purse or wallet. Stay away from ATMs that appear dirty or in disrepair. Such ATMs may not work when used, or worse, may be fake machines set up to capture card information. Watch out for ATMs that appear to have been altered. If anything on the front of the machine looks crooked, loose or damaged, it could be a sign that someone attached a skimming device. If your card gets stuck in the machine, call CCU promptly to report the incident. Remember to check your balance on a regular basis to catch fraudulent transactions as soon as possible. If you lose your card or someone uses your card without your permission, please contact CCU as soon as you can to report the card lost or stolen, report any unauthorized transactions and begin the resolution process. CCU will never ask you for personal account information via or text message requesting you to provide personal secure information, such as a PIN, account number, social security number or password. Never respond to an /text message requesting personal info to verify your card or to re-activate your card. How can I protect my card and PIN? Don t write down your PIN or keep it with your card. Don t tell anyone your PIN Do not give your card to someone else to use. Keep your card in a safe place when not in use, such as a wallet or purse. Keep your contact information up-to-date with the Credit Union. If problems arise, we may need to contact you. Only make online purchases from websites you trust. If the website seems suspicious, it may be a scam and could make fraudulent transactions with your card information.

7 Inform CCU immediately if your card is lost, stolen, or damaged, or if you see potentially fraudulent activity in your transaction history. By notifying us as soon as possible, you may be reducing your financial liability on those transactions. How do I cancel my Pay Card? If you would like to de-enroll from the Pay Card and return to paper payroll checks, please do one of the following: - Obtain a paper Pay Card Enrollment Form from the LAUSD Payroll Department or CCU branch. Fill out the form and check the Cancel Pay Card box. Return the form in the pre-addressed, paid envelope provided with the form, or return the form to the Payroll Department or CCU branch. - Send a secure message through your Pay Card Online Banking account. Log into Online Banking, click the Contact Us link, then click Send a Secure . Write your message letting CCU know you would like to cancel your Pay Card, and hit Send. Other questions?
