1 Learning Outcmes: HONOR LEARNING COMMUNITY PLAN FOR Identify a cmmunity f peers, staff, faculty, and advisrs that can supprt their success with their Hnrs Prgram Requirements Engage purpsefully in experiences related t the 5 G.O.A.L.S. areas Increase their sense f cmmunity and belnging t the University Hnrs Prgram and Ohi State at large Distinguish effective study skill strategies and habits that are sustainable in a university setting Examine the relatinship between their academics, c-curricular invlvement and future aspiratins (2nd year) Explre hw t get cnnected t apprpriate jb experiences that can assist with career preparatin (2nd year) Frmulate a transitin plan fr mving ff campus living and Junir and Senir Year cursewrk. (2nd year) Staffing: HONORS STAFF LIAISON is expected t meet with their assigned residence hall staff n a regular basis (defined as bi-weekly depending n the time f year). The assignments are as fllwing: Taylr Twer (Caleb Lesley): Jen Shields-McLed, Prgram Crdinatr Bradley Hall (Jnathan Adams): Gary Fleisner, GAA Lincln Twer (Katie Wagner ): Elizabeth Paice, GAA We will gather n a mnthly basis (Hnrs staff and Hnrs HD/AHD staff). These meetings will be held n the 2 nd Wednesday f the mnth at 1pm. Dates are as fllws: September 9, 2015; Octber 7, 2015; Nvember 4, 2015; December 9, 2015; January 13, 2016; February 10, 2016; March 9, 2016; April 13, 2016 NOTE: The meetings BOLDED and underlined indicate the ENTIRE Hnrs & Husing staff. The ther meetings will be wrking meetings fr hall staff nly. IN HALL ACADEMIC ADVISORS: Hnrs Academic Advisrs will be invlved in hall initiatives that culd include in-hall advising hurs, academic prgramming and planning. RESIDENTIAL PEER ADVOCATES: This is a newly created student staff psitin thrugh H&S. These students are hnrs students living in ne f ur three hnrs residence halls and their rle is t supprt students in their hnrs experience wrking bth directly with students, as well with the RA staff. Yu can expect the fllwing frm them: Attend hall cuncil meetings weekly Attend all RA staff meetings Plan AT LEAST ne academic/hnrs related prgram each mnth in cllabratin with the RAs Serve as an academic resurce and supprt the RAs Help t implement the e-prtfli Passive Prgramming Effrts: HONORS STAFF LIAISON will prvide the fllwing: Dr Decratins fr every residence hall rm (with RPA)

The plan fr prgramming includes: AUTUMN SEMESTER 2015: Mve-in Day In-hall Open Huse 11am-1pm- HONORS STAFF/HALL STAFF Welcme Week Hnrs Learning Cmmunity Kick-ffs by building- Sunday, August 23 rd, 2pm- 3:15pm- HALL STAFF H&S Launch - Sunday, August 23 th, 4pm-5pm Mershn Auditrium- HONORS STAFF Sphmre H&S Welcme Back Kuhnival, Mnday, August 24 th 12-2pm, Kuhn Huse Lawn HONORS STAFF First 6 weeks prgramming (see Addendum fr cmplete schedule)- HONORS STAFF LIAISON will facilitate 1 prgram per week with the help f a RA After 1st 6 weeks, prgramming will be fcused arund themes.
