1 June 24, 2014 File permission error Meeting every 6:54AM Windermere Town Hall Those who wish to sing, always find a song. - Weekly Roundabout Quote of the Week: Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. Mark Twain PROGRAM FOR THE WEEK: William T. Winslow Financial Advisor Edward Jones As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I believe it's important to invest my time to understand what you're working toward before you invest your money. Working closely with you and your CPA, attorney and other professionals, I can help determine the most appropriate financial strategy for you and your family. I can also help with your retirement savings strategy so you have more options when you retire, regardless of what you decide to do. I joined Edward Jones as a financial advisor in 2011, opening the firm's first branch office in the Ocoee- Windermere area. In 2012, I received the Spirit of Partnership, Eagle Award and the Zeke McIntyre Pioneer Award from Edward Jones. I attended Southeastern University and graduated magna cum laude in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Leadership. Originally from North Carolina, I have lived in the College Park area since I have been married to my wife Michelle for five years. I have been active in business and civic affairs in Orlando for many years. I also am a member of New City Orlando and the West Orange Chamber of Commerce and a volunteer with the Orlando Union Rescue Mission.
2 A message from our President I just received word that Christina is in the hospital and will not be able to be with us this week. I have arranged for breakfast from Dixie Cream Café. We hope that Christina will be well soon. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster: First: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service. Second: High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian s occupation as an opportunity to serve society. Third: The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian s personal, business, and community life. Fourth: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service. Windermere Rotary is an exemplary example of the object of Rotary. The 4 exchange students still looking for homes are: Hannah - Finland - loves music/theater - is gluten free/vegetarian but eats fish and eggs Alice - Belgium - plays tennis, loves the beach, worked on a farm Oscar - Taiwan -likes music, science, reading, a little sports Kaori - Japan - likes to read, shop, bake Let us know if you can accommodate one of these students! 5
