The goal of Positive Behavior Support is to: Minimize the lost instructional time Minimize behavioral incidents on an individual and campus-wide scale. As such, the administrative and PBS teams have developed a multi-faceted approach to teaching positive behavior. PBS

PBS Mission Create a school environment that promotes strong Spartan Pride among students, faculty and staff through effective use of a Positive Behavioral Support system.

PBS is A general approach to preventing problem behaviors For all students Based on a long history of behavior practices and effective instructional design strategies

LUNCH Expectations Listen quietly while adults are speaking Use the 5 P s Nurture Friendships Chat quietly Help keep your area clean

PBS & RTI

Why Should the Programs work together? Below are a few reasons to encourage the academic focus of RTI and the behavioral focus of PBS to work jointly towards student success. School environments that are positive, preventive, predictable, and effective: a) are safer, healthier, and more caring; b) have enhanced learning and teaching; and c) can provide a continuum of behavior support for all students. Effective instruction incorporates research-validated methods that are designed and delivered with a high degree of fidelity over time and across settings. Effective practices are only as good as the systems that support adults who use them. Data-based decisions lead to interventions that are more effective over a sustained period of time.

Administrative Rewards Activity Pass Party of 4 Celebrate You! Lunch Line Pass for the Week Mystery Prize At the end of each semester students will be entered into a drawing for an Ipod Shuffle!
