Users Guide to Internet Banking Self Service Enrollment This document is a guide for customers who wish to use The Bank of Greene County s Self Service Enrollment Utility for Internet Banking The following sequences of enrollment steps display both directions and example screens, which will help to ensure success when using the Self Service Enrollment Utility. There are only 4 steps to this process. Please Note: Also included below are examples of possible errors that may occur and explanations of the error messages. A. Locate The Bank of Greene County website at B. Click on the Self Service Enrollment link for Internet Banking. C. Images very similar (if not identical) to the screens shown below will be displayed. Please follow the instructions on the screens. The 4 steps to Self Service Enrollment are outlined below for your convenience: 1. Self Service Enrollment - Step 1. Please enter your Social Security Number without spaces or dashes. Once your Social Security Number is entered, please click on the Continue button. Enter your Social Security Number here without spaces or dashes Click on Continue
2. Self Service Enrollment - Step 2. Please enter your requested information into the blank fields. a) The 1 st field Social Security Number will already contain your Social Security Number from Step 1. b) The 2 nd field, Enter Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY) MUST be entered in as indicated. A correct format example would be 09/25/1975. c) The 3 rd field is Enter 5 Digit Zip Code. Enter your 5 digit zip code. d) The 4 th field is, Enter Last Name. Enter your last name. e) The 5 th field is Enter 10 Digit Phone Number. Please do not include any spaces or punctuation in the Home Phone Number field. A correct format example would be f) The 6 th field is Enter Valid Account Number. Be sure to enter the account number as a ten digit number with no spaces or punctuation. Once your information is completely entered, please click the Continue button. A correct example would be Once your information is completely entered, please click on Continue Enter your Valid Account Number. Be sure to enter the account number as a ten digit number with no spaces or punctuation. (Example: )
3. Self Service Enrollment - Step 3. Create a Logon Id and a Password of your choice. Please note: It is NOT recommended that your Social Security number be used as your Internet Banking User ID. A password length of 4 characters is the minimum required, but creating a longer password (greater than 4 characters in length) provides better security for you. Passwords are upper and lower case sensitive, so please be aware of this when creating your password. a) Create your Login ID. (Examples: imsomeone2, imsomeonetoo, i2msomeone ). Any of these Login names would work. Create one you are comfortable with and can remember. b) Create your password. Combining upper and lower case letters and numbers will help to ensure your password is secure. c) Confirm your password by entering it in a second time. Once you have done this click the Continue button when finished. You will be using the Username and Password combination that you created to gain access to your account information on The Bank of Greene County Internet Banking web site. Create your Login ID Create your Password Confirm your Password Click on Continue
4. Self Service Enrollment - Step 4. You will see the last Self Service Enrollment screen indicating you have completed the necessary steps to enroll. At this point your Logon ID and password have been created successfully. Click on the Click here link to login to internet banking. Click on the Click here link To login to Internet Banking 5. Login to the TBGC Internet Banking application. Enter the Logon ID and Password that you created in Step 3 and click the Login button to access internet banking. Enter your login ID After entering in your Login ID and Password, click on the Login button To access Internet Banking Enter your Password Once the correct Logon ID and Password are entered and the Login button is clicked, the next series of screens you will be presented with will be the setup screens for the OnGuard Security Questions. A guide has been created to further assist you in setting up those security questions called: The OnGuard Security Question Setup Guide
The OnGuard Security Question Setup Guide This document is a guide for customers who are either setting up their OnGuard security questions for the first time, or have asked to have their questions re-set by the Customer Service Center. Introduction to OnGuard In The Bank of Greene County s continuing effort to protect your financial information, we are providing a new security feature called OnGuard. The OnGuard security feature provides strong authentication to protect your online account from unauthorized access. OnGuard uses a series of personal questions, and tracks the way you access our secure site. At each logon, OnGuard will check the way you are accessing our site. When there are certain access changes, and the certain intervals, OnGuard will challenge you to answer one of your personal questions to ensure your identity. There is no additional hardware or software required. It is simple, safe and reliable. Please proceed to the next page for detailed instructions.
1. There are 5 OnGuard security questions that you must be set up before you can access your internet banking. There is 1 primary question, and 4 additional questions. Please note: You must pick 5 different questions do not pick and answer the same question more than once! a) Set up the first (Primary) security question by clicking on the Drop-Down* arrow, which is located next to the Security Question field * and selecting the desired question. The first (primary) question is slightly different than the following additional 4 questions because it is the only question where the answer is displayed to you as visible text in your internet banking session and it is the only question where you must enter your address. b) Type in your answer to the Security Question in the Answer field * exactly the same way as you will answer the question in the future. ** **(Please Note: If you type in an answer and spell it incorrectly while entering it into the Answer: field, the OnGuard system will expect you to type it in EXACTLY the same way, or it will not validate your answer (Example: If you type in the name of your first instrument as drumms with an extra letter m instead of just one letter m the system will expect you to type in drumms before it will allow you to login.). Failure to type it in exactly will result in the locking of your account as a protective security measure. c) Type your address in the Address field. Please make sure this is correct/current as any notifications or correspondence from The Bank of Greene County will be based on this address. Please update your address in your internet banking settings promptly whenever there is a change to it. Security Question field Drop-Down arrow Answer field Address field
d) Once the primary question is answered, scroll down and answer the next 4 questions by selecting the Drop-Down arrow and answering different questions. The next 4 questions will appear slightly different as follows: Your answers to the questions will need to be entered into the Response field. Because the only answer that is visible is the answer you provided for the Primary question; all response s that are provided to the next 4 questions will be masked or disguised as * (asterisks) so that someone looking over your shoulder cannot tell what you are typing. Once you have responded to the 4 questions, it is very important that you Click the Save button when finished or you may have to start from scratch! After the Save button is clicked, The system will record your personal information and should then authorize your secure access to your personal Internet Banking Account Summary page. Drop-Down arrow Response field Click on the Save button when finished!

3. It is important to verify a customer s information with the information we have in our system when encountering errors in the Self Service Enrollment process. If a customer enters information during Step 2 of the Self Service Enrollment process that does not match the information contained in our system, they will get the following message: Please Note: If you do not have an account with The Bank of Greene County, you will also receive this message. If you do not have an account with us, please see one of our conveniently located local branches and we will be happy to open an account for you! 4. If the Password and Confirm Password fields are not entered in exactly the same way during Step 3 of the Self Service Enrollment process, the following message will be displayed:
5. Your Logon ID and Password are security tools that help keep your account information safe. In order to access your internet banking account information, you must enter your Login ID and Password exactly as you entered them in during the initial setup. If you cannot remember the correct Login ID or Password after your initial setup, you must contact The Bank of Greene County Customer Service Center for further assistance. You will be asked several questions and be required to provide personal and secure information to verify your identity in order to help ensure that your account information is not compromised. If you re Login Id or Password is entered incorrectly, the following message will be displayed: Please Note: If you are a returning user to internet banking and have not used it for some time, you may have forgotten your password. If so, you can request a password reset by clicking on the Forgot your password? Click here link at the bottom of the message. Forgot your password? Click on: Click here
