2 PAHO Network Password Management and Recovery Using ADSelfService Quick Reference Guide NOTE: To make use of this Self-Service password utility, the first time you login you are required to Enroll This is a one time only action Sign-In From any web browser navigate to (or go directly to Enter your PAHO Domain username and password Click [Login] Enrollment Click on the [Enrollment] tab Click on the [Security Questions and Answers] tab Create three security questions and enter your accurate, unique answers Examples of Good security questions: In what city did you meet your spouse or significant other? What was your childhood nickname? In what city did your mother and father meet? Examples of Poor security questions: What are the last 4 numbers of your Social Security number? What is your pet's name? In what country were you born? The personalized answers to these questions will be used to authenticate your identity when resetting your password or unlocking your account The security of the system therefore relies on you selecting questions for which only you know the answers Note: The system is also case-sensitive Please remember to: Click on [Enroll] Type your answers using the same case (upper or lower or a combination) Make sure you use the same original language (English, Spanish, French or Portuguese) when answering the questions Select questions where the answer is: Safe (Difficult to guess) Stable (Does not change over time) Memorable (Is easily remembered) Definitive (Is the only correct answer for that question)

3 User Guide Personalize Click on the [Personalize] tab Select your language preference from the Choose Language drop down list Click [Save] My Info Click on the [My Info] tab Verify your personal contact Information in the left panel (all required fields are marked with an asterisk) Click [Update] User Password-Related Actions Change Password From any web browser navigate to Enter your PAHO Domain username and password Click [Login] Click the [Change Password] tab Enter your old password Type your new password, in each of the two fields Click [OK] Note: Please wait approximately 15 minutes for the change to propagate across all PAHO servers Forgotten Password If you have registered your security questions with ADSelfService, you can reset your password as follows: From any web browser, navigate to Enter your PAHO Domain Username Click on [Reset Password] Type the correct answers to the three Security Questions that you provided when Enrolling (Use the same original language (English, Spanish, French or Portuguese) as you used originally Please remember to type your answers using lower case) Enter your replacement password in the [New Password] and [Confirm Password] fields (Leave the Old Password field blank) Click [Reset Password] Note: Please wait approximately 15 minutes for the change to propagate across all PAHO servers PAHO Self-Service Password Recovery & Login Unlock Quick Reference Guide - 3 -
