3 I AGRHYMET /CILSS The AGRHYMET Regional Centre (ARC) was created in It is a specialized institute of the Permanent Interstate Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel (CILSS) composed of nine member States shown on the map below
4 The primary objectives of the AGRHYMET Regional Centre are: to contribute to achieving food security and increased agricultural production in the CILSS member States to improve natural resource management in the Sahelian region In the frame of AMESD : AGRHYMET Regional Centre is the Regional Implementation Centre (RIC) for the ECOWAS Region
