3 Zahra Amanpour is the Founder of Indiegrove. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Zahra worked in the for- profit, non- profit and public sectors and has dedicated her career to economic access and equality. She has a MA in Social Psychology and MBA in InternaEonal Business. Zahra believes business can and should be used as a tool for empowerment, equality and happiness. Karen Brown Stovell is the Execu3ve Director of Forward Ever Sustainable Business Alliance (Forward Ever). Forward Ever is the first urban affiliate of 80+ networks of the esteemed Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE), the fastest growing business alliance of values aligned entrepreneurs, and LOCAL FIRST business networks in North America. Forward Ever s mission is to provide a support network for local independently- owned businesses that facilitates coopera3ve promo3on and purchasing, rebuilds local supply chains and food systems, and leads to Buy Local ini3a3ves, sustainable communi3es, and job crea3on in the Greater Newark area. Karen is also a recent graduate of the second cohort of the Pruden3al Founda3on s Nonprofit Execu3ve Fellows Program at the Ins3tute for Ethical Leadership - Rutgers Business School. She is also a proud graduate of Rutgers University - Douglass College and holds a B.A. in ever/60/aaa/b36 Steven Gomez is Execu3ve Director at Greater Newark Enterprises Corpora3on. Steven, originally the Programs Director at GNEC, oversees and supports much of the organiza3on s day to day opera3ons focusing on developing microloan programs and development strategies to support training ini3a3ves and strategic partnerships. Steven holds an MBA from Seton Hall University s S3llman School of Business and a Masters in Economic Development from Seton Hall s School of Diplomacy and Interna3onal Rela3ons. Prior to his work with GNEC, Steven started, owned, an operated several successful small business ventures (including a café/restaurant) and has taught at the secondary and post- secondary

4 Rebecca Youngerman is the execu3ve Director of the Ben Appelbaum Founda3on. Based in New York City, BAF provides support and mentoring to small business owners and non- profit leaders at no cost. Prior to moving to NYC in 2014, Rebecca s career focused on community building, leadership development, and issue advocacy work in Washington DC, Chicago, Cleveland, and San Francisco. Immediately before joining the Founda3on, she managed the alumni program at American University's Kogod School of Business, launching new ini3a3ves in NYC and DC for alumni in finance & real estate and women in business. Rebecca received a Masters in Public Administra3on and a B.A. in Poli3cal Science from American University s School of Public Affairs. A proud na3ve of Madison, WI, she is a life long local business and local food Ben- Appelbaum- Founda3on Zay, Isaiah Limle is the Program Manager for the Office of Informa3on Technology (OIT) for the City of Newark and the Brigade Captain for Code for Newark (CfN). Within one of the youngest agencies Isaiah oversees programming for IT ini3a3ves. While Brigade Captain of CfN he has lead two school district- wide Hour of Code experiences, supports the city of Newark's Open Data Portal as the sole community base organiza3on contributor, and con3nues to bring more instruc3onal computer science opportuni3es to the City of Newark. Before joining the OIT Team Isaiah was appointed a member of Mayor Ras J. Baraka s IT Transi3on Team. He is graduate of nearby Seton Hall Preparatory in West Orange, NJ, and Temple University s Fox School of Business where studied Entrepreneurship. Born into a large family of Newarkers, including several genera3ons embedded in Newark and implants of the Second Great Migra3on, he is truly a son of the city. Blending personal passions for design and community, Isaiah is an entrepreneur, technologist, and Clark Lagemann is a seasoned entrepreneur with an award winning background in sales and markeeng. His wellness plaiorm was recognized as a Top 5 Technology at techweek NYC, called the HoOest Healthcare Startup by TeckCocktail, and won Tallwave Capital s HighTide CompeEEon. He regularly lectures on startups and small business topics at universiees throughout New Jersey, founded the entrepreneurial focused non- profit Scarlet Startups, and was most recently selected as a mentor for the presegious NaEonal Science FoundaEon I- Corps Startups
