2 FIRST, LET US INTRODUCE OURSELVES. We are OperaDDS, your new best friends. We are in dentistry, just like you, and we were sitting around one day thinking how sweet it would be to communicate freely with our entire team - staff, associates, specialists, technicians, everyone - at any time, from anywhere, on any device. How much time would we d save if we quit playing phone tag. If we quit yelling down the hall. If we knew we had all the information before we entered an op. If we all had smooth communication, all for free. We know, right? Pretty darn cool. So we built something totally new: OperaDDS. Only OperaDDS brings it all together with the one and only complete information dashboard, allowing users to communicate instantly and securely with anyone, anywhere, at any time, from any and all of the devices we all already use, and all for free. OperaDDS allows you to easily send and receive HIPAA compliant messages and data in or out of the office, between team members, with labs, with specialists and with all the people who work together every day to deliver modern dentistry. It works with all your existing hardware, with all your current and future computers, tablets and smartphones, with any address, with and for every dental professional out there - no fuss, very little muss. No costly anything. No data loss. No HIPAA police. No more phone tag or stickie notes or flashing lights or beeping fax machines or postage meters or shredded messes or losing your voice yelling down that hall. Just smooth communication. Sweet. SECOND, LET S GET YOU SET UP. To make your transition into the modern age even easier, the following pages give you extra information and guidance on what we re going to need from you in order to get started. But don t worry, our prevailing mantra has been to build a tool so simple and easy that a drunk monkey could wield it, and we hope we ve achieved our goal. 3 LET S BEGIN BY REGISTERING YOUR COMPANY We consider your company to be your dental practice, lab or other type of organization. You are a user within your company, and one of your users will need to also be the administrator (admin) of your company account. To set up your company, we need a separate, real address and admin username and password. This is important because the first thing we ll do is send you a confirmation in order to finalize your registration process (in this way, we know you are a human company and not a robot). You can have up to 4 unique users within your company absolutely free. If you require more than that, we have very low cost plans with no contract available for you, so we will also need your credit card information. Because you are a real company, it is important that you put in your real information - that way, your partners in dentistry - your labs and specialists - can find you as you begin to establish your collaborative network through OperaDDS Chorus. Here s what we re going to need to set up your company: COMPANY NAME COMPANY TYPE (LAB OR DENTAL PRACTICE) ADMIN USER NAME ADMIN PASSWORD ADMIN COMPANY ADMIN FIRST NAME ADMIN LAST NAME ADMIN PHONE NUMBER COMPANY ADDRESS, CITY, STATE, ZIP CREDIT CARD NUMBER, EXP DATE, SECURITY CODE (kept securely on file if you should require and confirm user or storage upgrades) Great! Now let s confirm you exist by clicking on the link in your Welcome to OperaDDS confirmation (which you sent to a real address, right?) and then set up your company s users.
4 NOW, WE RE GOING TO SET UP YOUR COMPANY S USERS Your company isn t anything without you, the folks who do this and then do that, keeping things moving along and patients smiling, day after day. We want to make it all a whole lot easier. Now that you ve set up your company account, let s create the individual accounts for all your company s users. For each user, please assemble the following information, keeping in mind that this is all for real: you ll want to create real usernames and passwords that connect to real s, so we can make sure all your partners in dentistry can connect with the real you. BUT, REST ASSURED, OUR MONTHLY FEE IS LESS THAN YOUR OFFICE SUPPLY BILL FOR ALL THAT PAPER YOU VE BEEN USING. Alrighty, then. Now each user should download the appropriate app (android or ios) to their smart phones, ipods and/or tablets and load the OperaDDS web site on each applicable computer, and sign in with all the appropriate user names and passwords to make sure your company s network is fully functional and you ll be able to utilize all our features. Now let s move on and talk about the dream made manifest that is the OperaDDS complete information dashboard.
5 FREE AND EASY AND SECURE. HIPAA COMPLIANT SEND IS HERE. Send couldn t be more simple. Simply log in to your OperaDDS user account, click the SEND button in the upper right of the main navigation area and away to your heart s content, with attachments and everything. You can send a Send to any external or internal address and the recepient will recieve an from you stating that a secure is waiting for them at OperaDDS, with simple instructions for viewing it safely and securely, from any device they may choose. Because OperaDDS is free, it s easy for them to respond to you in kind. Isn t that better than breaking federal laws every time you and they use those gmail, aol or yahoo accounts? You can even create customized folders and save your s and attachments just like you do now, except you ll be HIPAA compliant. Yay for technology!
6 WELCOME TO THE 21ST CENTURY. CHORUS HAS BEEN WAITING FOR YOU. Chorus is the only secure online portal where you can collaborate in real time with your real dental partners - labs and specialist referrals - and save those communications and all applicable data as long as you like, for free. That means that, for example, when you send a case to your favorite lab and the tech has a quick question in order to meet your deadline, she can use Chorus to communicate directly with you on your terms, getting her question answered and her problem solved! Consider our solution (fast, efficient, archived communication) vs. the current model: calling the front desk, leaving a message, hoping she ll be at her phone when the doc finally has a second to call her back...yadda yadda yadda. Which would you prefer? Which method saves time, sanity and the patient experience? Yeah, that s what we thought, too. Here s what you ll need to set up your partnerships on Chorus: YOUR FAVORITE LABORATORY COMPANY NAME, CONTACT NAME, AND PHONE. START WITH 3: YOUR FAVORITE REFERRAL (SPECIALIST) COMPANY NAME, CONTACT NAME, AND PHONE. START WITH 3: Chorus includes a fully customizable and interactive lab slip complete with predefined comments and space for an archived conversation between all partners, both labs and referrals where appropriate, so that you re all always and literally on the same page. With predefined comments you could, for example, title a comment CROWN to read Please fabricate full coverage restoration. Allow for light centric contact with no excursive interferences. COME UP WITH YOUR PREDEFINED COMMENTS: You might think we re adding to your workload by having you set this up but, really, with OperaDDS Chorus you re putting this information in just one time, rather than filling out the same slips of paper with the same instructions the same several times a day from here to eternity. Sweet, huh?
7 PAGER WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING ABOUT HOW YOU DELIVER DENTISTRY. OperaDDS Pager was conceptualized by a real dentist when he was faced with an atrocious bill to install 70 s-era light boxes in his new 21st century dental practice. He thought to himself, why can t I just get a few ipads, stick em on the wall all Star Trek-style, and simply message my team while looking extremely cool and high-tech to my patients? What a brilliant question! And so Pager was born. Pager allows you to securely message any user in your company, any where, at any time, using any of the devices or computers or smart phones you already use, on any platform, with no costly upgrades, no fuss, very little muss. How cool is that? It s even customizable to your company s individual needs, from establishing teams of users (like Clinical and Office or what have you) to setting up your own frequently used items in your own checklist (which enables the hygienist to instantly communicate a patients needs and wants for example with the dentist, all with no words spoken and tons of time saved), Pager has your number. The following are some items you ll need to consider when setting up Pager for your company and users: DEFINE YOUR PAGER TEAMS. FOR EXAMPLE, YOU COULD SET UP INDIVIDUAL DENTIST TEAMS (DR. SMITH & TEAM, DR. JONES & TEAM) OR STAFF TEAMS (FRONT OFFICE, ASSISTANTS, HYGIENISTS, DENTISTS, ETC). CUSTOMIZE YOUR PAGER CHECKLIST. FOR EXAMPLE, YOU MIGHT WANT THE FOLLOWING FIELDS: PATIENT NAME, MEDHX, PERIO, RESTORATIVE, IMAGES TAKEN, ETC.
