3 Professionalising apprenticeship Operational conditions Tuscany Region promotes the training supply through a regional catalogue (developed at a territorial level) established through public tender procedures. Training directed towards the achievement of basic and key competences, carried out with the public contribution within the limits of the available resources, is delivered by accredited bodies of the regional system. Apprentices' training pathways are mainly financed through individual grants (vouchers) awarded to apprentices. Outside and in addition to the regional catalogue, basic and key training can be delivered: a) on the responsibility of public and private enterprises; b) respecting the organizational characteristics set by the regional regulations (Dgr 609/12); c) by the enterprise itself in case it is accredited as training body. 4 Professionalising apprenticeship Training delivery conditions Training is carried out: partly through the regional web learning system called TRIO, up to max 70% for graduated apprentices, for the remaining part through face-to-face training delivered by training agencies, within the working hours. Training contents Basic and key competences must be guaranteed with respect to: -Health and safety at work; -Equal opportunities and business relation; -Key competences for lifelong learning. Certification of competences The processes of reconstruction, validation and certification of competences are carried out on the basis of the standards defined by the Regional System of Competences. Training contents Basic and key competences must be guaranteed with respect to: -Health and safety at work; -Equal opportunities and business relation; -Key competences for lifelong

5 GUIDELINES on professionalising apprenticeship contract approved by the State-Region Conference Public training supply: DURATION The duration of the public training supply is linked to the apprentice's educational qualification: 120 hours, for apprentices without qualification, holding a primary or lowersecondary school-leaving certificate; 80 hours, for apprentices holding an upper-secondary school-leaving certificate or a vocational education and training qualification; 40 hours, for apprentices holding a degree. Public training supply: CONTENTS Training must have as subject, approximately, a selection among the following competences: -Taking up safe behaviours at the work place -Business quality and organization -Relationship and communication at work -Rights and duties of the worker and of the enterprise, work regulations, collective bargaining -Basic and key competences -Digital competence -Social and civic competences -Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship -Job basic elements Public training supply: DELIVERY CONDITIONS Training must be delivered in suitably organized and equipped environments. It is usually carried out in the initial stage of the apprenticeship contratct and must foresee methods of examination of learning. Settore Formazione e Orientamento 5

6 GUIDELINES on professionalising apprenticeship contract approved by the State-Region Conference Enterprises NOT making use of the public training supply They can deliver themselves the training directed towards the achievement of basic and key competences provided they have minimum standards such as: - suitable places for training, others than those normally used for the production of goods and services; - human resources with appropriate skills and competences. INDIVIDUAL TRAINING PROGRAMME It is compulsory exclusively with respect to the training for the achievement of technical-professional and specialist competences. RECORDING of training The enterprise must obligatorily record in the citizen's training booklet the training carried out and the vocational qualification achieved by the apprentice. MULTI-LOCALIZED ENTERPRISES Regarding the public training supply, they can adopt the rules of the Region where they have their registered office. Settore Formazione e Orientamento 6
