3 Curriculum Programme Objectives AD 60% of generic contents (e.g. language, IT, GE, etc) Equip students with a broad knowledge base and a solid foundation of generic skills, as well as the specialist knowledge and skills required for further study in a chosen discipline. HD 60% of specialized contents (e.g. learning related to concentrations, disciplines and professions, vocational skills, etc) Enable students to acquire the appropriate attitude, knowledge and skills to support their initial employment at the paraprofessional level. 9 merge two specialization courses into one (e.g., under the AD Chinese Language programme, 基 礎 中 文 寫 作 and 創 意 中 文 寫 作 are combined to become 寫 作 訓 練. ) strengthen the content of a 2-credit course into a 3-credit one to standardize the credit units of courses (e.g., under the AD Chinese Medicine (General), Acupuncture is changed to a 3-credit course.) move the specialization course from compulsory core to elective courses (- Under the Associate of Arts Programme in Journalism, Media translation is changed from Compulsory course to Elective course, in order to enable students to have greater exposure to the practices of media and journalism; and - Under the Associate of Arts Programme in Psychology, Occupational Psychology will be moved from the Compulsory Block to the Elective Block as its contents also deal with the work place.)

10 The academic structure of the Health Care programme is quite different from the others, main features of its revisions are: convert one Specialization course Modern Chinese Medicinal Nursing and Complementary Alternative Medicine to its own list of General Education courses reduce the specialization course Clinical Practice from 9 to 6 *The actual content and hours of the course will remain unchanged as before, 500 hours
