1 This signature event is Cookie Cart s annual fundraising dinner. Local celebrity chefs and bakers from the International Culinary School at the Art Institute International with Chef Pat Weber prepare a gourmet five-course dinner for guests. During the reception, guests sample wines and hors d'oeuvres from a tasting menu. The event also includes a program featuring Cookie Cart youth employees, a wine pull and live and silent auctions. Cookie Cart provides teens 15 to 18 years old with lasting and meaningful work, life and leadership skills through experience and training in an urban nonprofit bakery. In 2015, 200 teens will build connections with new communities, set goals for their future, and improve their interpersonal skills and critical thinking skills making them ready for work!
