Because the data i MDM is used i may other Baa Service modules, it is defied i a separate module. The Master Data Maagemet (MDM) module i BaaERP The followig modules are also related to MDM. The Service Plaig ad Cocepts (SPC) module cotrols the maiteace plaig aspects for the service items. The Service Order Cotrol (SOC) module hadles the plaig of service orders that are to be carried out o istallatios. The service employees are allocated ad plaed based o their skills ad service ceter. Travelig costs ca be determied based o the service areas of the service employee ad the istallatio. The Cotract Maagemet (CTM) module uses the service areas to determie the travelig terms. It also uses service-item prices ad labor rates to determie the service-cotract price. Service types ca be used to defie cotract terms. The Call Maagemet (CLM) module uses: Service ceters ad service employees to assig calls Service areas as a search criteria to locate the cofiguratio that is related to a call The Cofiguratio Cotrol (CFG) module uses the distace zoes, the service areas, ad the service ceters as site locatio data for the cofiguratio. The service employees ca be related to a cofiguratio ad object i the CFG module. 1.4 The fuctioality of MDM s busiess objects MDM cotais the followig busiess objects: Geeral Service Data Service Orgaizatio Service Item Data For optimal use of the Baa Service, it is recommeded that you fill i the data i this module as extesively as possible. The Master Data Maagemet (MDM) module i BaaERP Geeral Service Data I the Geeral Service Data busiess object you ca defie the data for the geeral service iformatio. You must eter such master data as fully as possible especially the service parameters. The Geeral Service Data busiess object is comprized of the defiitio, modificatio, ad so o, of the followig subjects: Labor rates Tasks Hourly labor types Service types Checkslists ad checks by checklists Service Orgaizatio I the Service Orgaizatio busiess object you ca defie the data that is related to a service orgaizatio. Baa Service makes use of a great variety of data, which cocers the service orgaizatio as a whole. Service ceters ca be defied to distiguish orgaizatioal uits i a service orgaizatio. Differet service areas ca be defied, based o ZIP-code (also kow as postal codes) rages. The service areas ca be related to service ceters ad warehouses. Service kits, which are related to each other based o their fuctioality, ca be defied as service-kit types, for plaig purposes. I additio to service areas, distace zoes ad zoe classes ca be defied, which ca be used to determie travelig costs. The service employee s kowledge, experiece, ad skills ca be defied i Baa Service. You ca also lik the service car to the service employee. Service Item Data I the Service Item Data BO, the data for service items or the default data for a service item group ca be defied. You ca defie maiteace cocepts for these service items. The service items ca also be used to create a service bill of material (Service BOM), a service cotract or a service order. Withi this BO it is possible to defie the price lists for service activities o a certai service item. Whe service cotracts are defied or the price of a idividual service order is determied, service costs ca be calculated based o a stadard price list. This price list is defied for a item or a referece activity, ad is always i combiatio with a service type. You ca globally update the prices withi these price lists. Master Data Maagemet 1-4

I the Geeral Service Parameters (tsmdm0100s000) sessio you ca set the parameters for: Time uits Time uit parameters must be set for: Labor rates Duratio of service activities or travelig Base hours Skill coditios These parameters are used to allocate the suitable service egieer to carry out a service order. Travelig These parameters ca be used whe travelig costs are ivolved i the service-order procedure. Settig up the service orgaizatio This chapter describes: How to set up a service orgaizatio that cotais: Service ceters Service areas, which icludes ZIP-code rages Service employees with associated skills ad service cars Service kits Distace zoes ad distace classes 3.1 Settig up service ceters ad service areas This procedure describes how to eter the structure of a service orgaizatio, which is part of a larger orgaizatio ito Baa Service. To represet the structure of idepedet service compaies withi larger busiess orgaizatios, multi-site facilities are required. These facilities allow the relatio betwee multiple busiess uits to be recorded i Baa Service. To distiguish orgaizatioal uits withi service orgaizatios, service ceters ca be defied as mai service-ceters ad sub service-ceters. I additio to the ormal service ceter fuctioality, mai service ceter allow aggregatio of data from the sub service-ceter to the mai service-ceter level. For example, if service orders are plaed for a mai service-ceter, they will also be plaed for the sub service-ceter. Differet service areas ca be distiguished withi oe service ceter. Service areas are maily relevat to compaies that deal with exteral maiteace.
