Over 32,000 teens and adults have come closer to God, physically and spiritually, through Wilderness Trek and with your help we will keep this 37 year tradition of outdoor faith building experiences thriving. Wilderness Trek has guided thousands to the mountaintops of Colorado for take your breath away moments. We are planning more of these moments in 2014, but we need your help! God s creation is awe-inspiring and faith strengthening. Looking up at a mountain is breath-taking! Looking down from the top of the mountain reminds you of the Creator! Our ministry thrives on your prayers and God s guidance. Those moments of Wilderness Trek made a big impact on me. I learned that my physical body could be pushed more than I ever thought; I learned I could be a good leader and I learned to work together in a team. Singing and worshiping God outside in that setting was precious. It s something that I will never forget and will always cherish. I hope that Wilderness Trek can continue on and be a special time for many more young people. It s needed more now than ever. Statement from a former Wilderness Trekker A big part of Wilderness Trek s new focus is offering even more scholarships to teens that would not be able to afford this life-changing experience without you. Your tax-deductable donation will make it all possible. Donations fund basic expenses like equipment, food, and necessary land-use permits. Wilderness Trek has a new theme we call Summit and Serve. Participants take time to reflect on God s greatness and power while on the mountaintop and then have an opportunity to show the love of God to others through a service project in the local mountain community after they come off the mountain. Your donations not only provide funds for these spiritual adventures, but empower the good works of the adventurers. They trek upward to be closer to God and carry the spirit down the mountain to others below. Please support Wilderness Trek by donating on-line or mailing a check today! The mountains are calling. A mountaintop encounter with God can change lives for eternity. Will you join us in helping guide kids onto the mountain? I ll be turning the big 4-0 in two days. It s been 25 years since my first Wilderness Trek experience and I want you to know it saved my life. Eternally. I had been saying NO to God for years and years, but on that mountain, feeling alone sometimes and yet smothered by God s infinite creation his wooing gave way to GRACE, LOVE and RELATIONSHIP. God used Wilderness Trek in a mighty way so I would want to say YES!! Statement from a former Wilderness Trekker

OUR HISTORY From our beginning in 1976, many dedicated people have invested themselves and their resources to help Wilderness Trek grow. Wilderness Trek Christian Camp, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation administered by a board of trustees. During our 37+ years of operation, we have served more than 30,000 young people and adults from all over the U.S. More than 3,000 of these young people have been from low-income households and have participated through the Wilderness Trek Scholarship Program. We offer a rugged 6-day adventure in the majestic mountains of Colorado. These trips have included backpacking, hiking, rappelling, devotionals, solo times, a climb to the summit of a 13,000 or 14,000- foot mountain, and white water rafting, as an additional option. We specifically design trips to challenge young people (14-19 years of age), adults, and families of all ages to discover self-confidence, self-esteem, personal faith, and to learn their awesome potential for living faithfilled lives. OUR MISSION Prayerfully seeking God s direction, WTCC, Inc. will increase ministry reach, engage stakeholders and create a lasting, sustainable and relevant ministry. As a result of countless conversations over the years with Wilderness Trek stakeholders and based on the Board s vision planning through the years, we are confident that the Lord has a great vision for Wilderness Trek that can be summed up by the following objectives: INDEPENDENT NONPROFIT MINISTRY: Create an independent and self-supported outdoor ministry with proper oversight and accountability. WILDERNESS TREK PROGRAM: Continue to provide a Christian-based outdoor program, which provides an opportunity for teens to develop a closer relationship with Christ and one another, through a challenging experience in God s creation. SCHOLARSHIP TREK PROGRAMS: Provide Christian outdoor programs, geared towards less fortunate teens, with the goal of Wilderness Trek providing scholarships for a large number of the teens participating in such programs. This would require the development of strong partnerships with after school programs, urban development programs and other ministries geared towards the less fortunate.

MISSION AND SERVICE TRAINING: Provide Christian outdoor programs geared towards building character, leadership development and team building to prepare participants for service to God locally, nationally and globally. A PLACE TO SERVE: Provide an opportunity for those passionate about the work of Wilderness Trek a place to serve and participate in the work by creating an organizational culture that would allow Wilderness Trekkers for generations to come together and serve together in God s creation. OUR VISION For 37 years, Wilderness Trek has encouraged solo time. Recently, the Wilderness Trek organization was blessed to experience its own time of reflection. As a result, we have emerged re-freshed, re-energized and ready to hit the trail, re-newed and stronger. We are very excited to announce that Wilderness Trek will be reaching for summits again next summer, 2014! Over the past several years, the Board of Trustees of WTCC have worked diligently to establish a healthy, sustainable, outdoor ministry that will touch the lives of students, families, churches and individuals for generations to come. You have come alongside us to provide valuable feedback and input, to share your dreams and take ownership of this great ministry. As a stable, nonprofit organization, we are well positioned to accomplish these goals and build something of lasting and eternal value. Thank you for your encouragement and your prayers. We ask you to continue to come alongside and join us in this great adventure with the Lord as our ultimate guide. PLEDGE FORM How you can participate in God s work: We are very excited to announce that Wilderness Trek will be reaching for summits again next summer, 2014! Our ministry is only possible through your support both prayers and financially. We raise the necessary funds from individuals and organizations to equip Wilderness Trek with sufficient resources and staff to continue God s work. Our goal is to raise $48,000 for 2014. This will cover the small overhead of day-to-day expenses and provide for equipment, supplies, and infrastructure necessary for this to be a sustaining ministry for the next 30 years. There isn t a donation that s too small or too big. Please help us take kids up the mountain so that they can experience God in a setting unlike any other.
