O f f s h o r e O i l a n d Offshore Oil and Gas Processing Processing is a central area of oil and gas production. Offshore, process platforms are host to a wide range of equipment and control systems that is to ensure efficient operation of the platform and maximized production of oil and gas. In collaboration with the consulting engineering company COWI, Offshore Center Danmark offers a unique 1-day course presenting the basics of offshore oil and gas processing. The course gives an overview of the treatment that oil and gas from the production wells undergoes, before it is ready to be sent to shore via pipelines or tankers. The purpose and usage of the different process equipment is explained as well as how the equipment interacts, supported by examples from offshore process platforms. The participants will obtain knowledge about the design of the process equipment and how it works. Also, the participants will become familiar with some of the special terminology that is often used in the offshore industry. In addition, the course presents an overview of the remaining upstream process exploration, drilling, construction of offshore platforms and more. Target Group The course is aimed at newcomers to the industry as well as existing employees in need for an overview of the processing part of offshore operations. Language The course material is in English. Lectures will be in English, unless all participants understand Danish.
