The Shield of the College A golden crown of the medievl regl shpe in herldry encircles the lilies bove, reclling the dediction of the Chpel to the Queen of Pece. The herldic indiction of college is lwys book. Hence, book occupies the center of the field. On its open pges is the motto of St. Scholstic. It is tken from the third chpter of the Book of Proverbs, nd in reference to Wisdom it reds: Her wys re wys of beuty, nd ll her pths re pece. In keeping with the trditionl Benedictine motto, Px, St. Scholstic hs chosen the second prt of the verse for her motto. It reds in ltin: Omnes semite eius pcifice. As prt of its logo, The College of St. Scholstic uses the Benedictine shield. Benedictine vlues re the cornerstone of the lerning tht hppens t the College. In its originl form, the field is blue. Upon this field is silver lily, blooming with three flowers symbolizing the three Persons of the Blessed Trinity.
