Pamela J. Koch, MD Lancaster Radiology Associates, Ltd. The Scholarship is an enduring tribute to my father, Dr. Andrew Koch, who recognized the necessity for highly trained and capable technologists at Lancaster General Hospital (LGH) and single handedly started the school of radiologic technology at LGH. I can appreciate his vision every day with the superb work the technologists perform at LGH. He continues to be a firm believer in education and the superiority of care at LGH.
Sage Olnick, BSN, RN 05 Graduate The exposure to different areas of nursing I experienced at Lancaster General College of Nursing & Health Sciences (LGCNHS) helped me to realize the possibilities of my nursing practice. Also, taking classes with students from different programs gave me an understanding and appreciation for all members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Since graduating from LGCNHS in 2005, I have worked in different areas of nursing. Currently, I work at the Lancaster General Health Blood Donor Center at the Suburban Outpatient Pavilion (formerly the Health Campus.) I am also enrolled in the Clinical Pastoral Education program at LGH. I am proud to have received my nursing education from LGCNHS. I am excited that the LGCNHS is now offering the RN-to-BSN program. Not only can students obtain their RN in a short amount of time, they now have the opportunity to advance their professionalism and education by obtaining their BSN while they work.

It rings true on so many levels. For an individual, a quality education can be the springboard to a happy and productive life. For society, that person s contributions ultimately benefit us all. Here at the College, we are preparing the caregivers of tomorrow. Yes, the process is expensive, but together we can ensure that eager minds have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
