english OEM Solutions Systems for energy-efficient ventilation control
What is ventilation as defined in DIN EN 13779? A new standard in the design of ventilation systems The new DIN EN 13779 standard for ventilation and air conditioning systems is one of the first European directives based on the 'ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF BUILDINGS DIRECTIVE'. This directive provides positive support in significantly increasing the energy efficiency of ventilation and air conditioning systems. Smart systems for targeted ventilation control make it possible to make enormous savings in ventilation energy consumption. Theben tts offers a wide range of tailor-made solutions for different requirements which conform to all the controlrelated guidelines in DIN EN 13779. Possible types of control of internal air quality (IDA-C) Category IDA-C1 IDA-C2 IDA-C3 IDA-C4 IDA-C5 IDA-C6 Description The system is permanently on. manual control The system is operated manually. time-dependent control The system is operated according to a set schedule. use-dependent control The system is operated depending on the presence of people (light switch, infra-red sensors etc.) demand-dependent control (number of persons) The system is operated according to the number of persons present in a room. demand-dependent control (gas sensors) The system is controlled by sensors that measure ambient air parameters or adapted criteria (e. g. CO 2, mixed gas or VOC sensors). The parameters used must be adapted to the type of activities in the room. Source: Tab. 6 of DIN EN 13779 2
