When Wi-Fi is not available, you can use your cellular data connection for calls. Signing In After downloading the app from the Google Play store, sign in with your Vonage username and password. 6

Basic Navigation General Action Bar Tab Categories 7

Softphone Setup VoIP Calling By using the Vonage Business Mobile softphone, you can make and receive calls through your Vonage account. Outbound calls display the caller ID associated with your Vonage account. Softphone functionality requires a Wi-Fi or 3G/4G connection. Important VoIP over 3G/4G Notice: Some cellular carriers may impose additional fees or charges and/or prohibit or restrict use of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) on their network. Be sure to check the terms of your agreement with your carrier. Vonage will not be held liable for any charges, fees, or liability imposed by your cellular carrier for use of Vonage Business Mobile. 8

Softphone Setup Getting Ready Once Vonage Business Mobile is installed on your Android device, make sure Wi-Fi and Cellular are set up correctly. Wi-Fi Setup From the main Android Screen, tap Settings > Wireless & networks, and look at the Wi-Fi field. If it has a checkmark and a message such as Connected to {network name}, then your phone has a Wi-Fi connection. Go to Cellular Setup below. If it has no checkmark and the line Turn on Wi-Fi, then tap the field to turn on Wi-Fi and wait for the message Connected to {network name}. If the message does not appear, tap Wi-Fi settings (the next field). On the Wi-Fi settings screen, tap the desired network and complete the popup that appears. The message Connected will appear. Cellular (3G/4G) Setup From the main Android screen, tap Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Turn Data On. TIP: We strongly recommend that you perform initial setup from within a known network such as your office Wi-Fi TIP: When outside the US, avoid cellular data roaming charges by turning off data roaming and using Wi-Fi. Since calls are billed through Vonage, you won t have additional roaming charges. NOTE: Sound quality is subject to Wi-Fi or 3G/4G signal strength and available bandwidth. 9

Softphone Setup Incoming VoIP Call Setup Vonage Business Mobile can be configured to alert you to incoming calls even when the app is in the background. Enabling Incoming Call Behavior ensures all incoming calls to your Vonage phone number ring through the mobile application. However, while this setting provides better inbound call consistency, there may be some impact on battery life. To enable Incoming VoIP Calls 1. Tap the Settings icon. 2. Tap Telephony. 3. Tap to turn on VoIP Calling. 4. Toggle on VoIP Calls to establish your VoIP network connection. 5. Toggle on Incoming Call Behavior. Choose Network Settings Wi-Fi + 3G/4G - Make and receive calls on both Wi-Fi and 3G/4G data networks. The app will choose Wi-Fi first if both networks are detected. Wi-Fi Only - Make and receive calls when connected to a Wi-Fi network. This is a popular option for international travelers. 3G/4G Only - Make and receive calls only in 3G/4G coverage areas. 10
