Dear Participants, We are eager to meet you soon in Kosovo. The training course Youth for a Common Future Creativity in Conflict Transformation will take place in Pristina between 3 rd and 10 th of February 2012. We hope this will be an unforgettable learning experience for all participants, trainers and staff. Info about TC venue: Prishtina is the capital and the largest city in Kosovo, with a total population of over 400,000. It is the administrative, economical, and cultural centre of Kosovo. For more information about Pristina and Kosovo see: http://www.visitkosova.org/ The hotel is situated 10 minutes out of city with a nice view to the nature. The name of the hotel is: DARDANIA HOTEL (ex HOTEL MADRID), Address: Hajvali, Prishtine 10000, Kosovo. Each bedroom is equipped with a bathroom, air conditioning and a TV set. The participants will be accommodated in international groups in order to facilitate groupbuilding and team spirit. Meals will be served at the hotel restaurant. The training room is on the 1 st floor of the hotel Free wireless internet will be provided at the hotel Getting to the venue For participants coming by plane: The local travel from airport to hotel will be organised by BLINK staff. Participants are requested to arrive on 3 rd of February and to leave on 10 th of February. BLINK staff will arrange your travel back to Airport as well). Participants coming from Serbia, Albania and Macedonia are expected to arrive by bus. Please inform BLINK about your arrival time so we can arrange pick-up. All other participants - our colleagues from BLINK will wait for you at Pristina Airport with your name written on a piece of paper. The activity will start on 3 rd of February, at 17:00, please make sure you reach Pristina before then.
Preparation Youth for a Common Future Creativity in Conflict Transformation Please prepare a short description of your organisation in English for the presentation to other participants. Bring photos, brochures, newspapers or anything that can present activities of your organisation for the NGO Fair. You should be prepared for a short presentation and it's not necessary to use computer or other equipment. You get an opportunity to make posters or other creative things for your presentation what you leave on the wall for longer time and the others can check it anytime. An intercultural evening will take place during the TC. Please bring some food, drink and any other materials about your country and/or community in order to present your culture to the rest of the group. Please bring warm clothes and sports shoes. The weather in Kosovo in February can range from 0 to -5 degrees celsius Good mood and enthusiasm! Money and prices in Kosovo: EURO is Kosovo s official currency. Information and photos of the DARDANIA HOTEL: Hotel Madrid was built in 2001, in 2010 the Hotel went in full renovation and as a part of their strategy they changed the name into DARDANIA HOTEL. The hotel holds 14 rooms, a big conference and banquet room, and a restaurant with a rich menu. Hygiene in the rooms seems to be satisfactory. Accompanying equipment: Sufficient parking space, internet, air conditioning, heating, and a terrace with few tables. Direction: Veternik - Road Prishtina - Gjilan. Rooms: All the 14 rooms are equipped with internet, TV, telephone and shower cabin. Reception works 24 hours. Restaurant: Offering a mainly international menu, it works from 8am till 11pm.
