Architectural Section Building Raised Floor Specifications Loading and Receiving Dock Power Watts / Square Foot Electrical Redundancy Standby Generator Systems Uninterrupted Power Supply Grounding Architecture Commercial Power Contingency Arrangements Equipment and office areas have accessible metal floors. The raised floor is rated for 150 psf and is set on concrete slab rated at 350 psf. Any racks weighing more than 1000 lbs need additional underfloor supports. Loading dock facilities are available. Onsite security personnel monitor access to the loading dock. Customer shipments to the IDC require customer site ID # on all shipping labels. Building A = 120 w/sf & Building B = 150 w/sf There is 1-34.5 Kv commercial power feed to each building through 2 underground concrete encased duct banks. There are 11 2000 kw diesel generators. 6-12,000 gallon above ground fuel oil storage tanks. The facility maintains enough fuel onsite to run the generators for 72 hours at the full data center load. 4-hour response fuel contracts are maintained with multiple fuel suppliers. The generator system is configured as N+1at building full load. There are 8 UPS systems, 2400 kw each designed as 2N. The UPS system is designed to support the full data center load for 15 minutes through internal battery plant. The UPS batteries are 20 year VR type. There is a perimeter ground ring for the building, which is bonded to driven ground rods. The facility has a UL listed Lightning Protection System. In the event of a commercial power failure, the standby generators provide power to the Data Center within 1 minute. The one-minute gap is covered by the UPS battery systems. Environmental Controls HVAC System HVAC Redundancy Arrangements There are 8 centrifugal chillers/cooling towers rated from 600 to 1000 tons in an N+1 configuration at full building load. The raised floor is used as an air plenum. There are 108 30 ton CRAC units configured as N+1. HVAC is designed with fault tolerance. If a chiller fails, a standby chiller will automatically carry the load. If a CRAC unit fails or is taken down for maintenance, redundant units automatically adjust to support the heat load. Fire Detection and Suppression System: The fire alarm system is a VESDA (air sampling) smoke detection and alarm system. The data center area has a pre-action dry pipe fire suppression system. 2
Architectural Section - continued Security Building Access: Security staffing 24x7, closed circuit monitors, secure key-card access, biometrics scanner, a mantrap, and alarmed doors. Guards maintain access from the loading dock and access requires a card key. Security personnel also monitor the building and use an electronic watch monitoring system that identifies when and where guards have patrolled. AT&T maintains a current list of authorized personnel. Site Monitoring: 24x7 monitoring is performed on site and remotely. CCTV recording times: Minimum 30 days common areas not entrance or egress from building or raised floor. Minimum 90 days for entrance/egress from building or raised floor. Images per/sec (5) Shipping & Receiving: No unidentified packages will be accepted. Onsite security personnel monitor access to the loading dock. Customer shipments to the IDC require customer site ID # on all shipping labels. Operations Staffing: Remote Hands: General Information Internet Data Center technicians and building engineers are available 24x7. Available 24x7.
