Bath Middle School News Dear BMS Families: DATE CALENDAR OF EVENTS Jun e 20 13 Another year has come to an end and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a GREAT year! It seems like we just opened the doors for our annual Open House and here we are saying good-bye for summer vacation! This year our student body continued to grow and excel. Over 55% of our students made the at least once, and student discipline referrals dropped by 10% and about 25% over the last two years. As my time as Bath Middle School s principal comes to an end, I reflect on how great it has been to watch our students grow over the last three years. While I am excited to get more time back into my personal life with my family, I will miss the daily contact with our middle school students and staff. I appreciate everyone s patience and sacrifices in making this transitional period work over the last three years. Without a great staff and supportive families, it would have been very difficult. Until then, make sure to take some quality time with your families this summer. Whether it is going to a ballgame, a BBQ, fishing, camping, or whatever it is that your family enjoys about summer, get out and do it. I would also encourage you to read with your child(ren) during the summer. Keeping the brain active helps cut down on the summer drop off. Have a great summer, and I look forward to seeing everyone in the Fall.
