1 Mitchell College of Business Business Scholarships The following scholarships are available to students enrolled in the Mitchell College of Business. Frenkel, Jr. Endowed Scholarship in Business Student must be entering Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level of study Preference given to students who are not currently recipients of any other scholarship within MCOB College of Business Endowed Scholarship in Business Student must be entering Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level of study Preference given to students who are not currently recipients of any other scholarship within MCOB Don and Sandra McCrory Endowed Book Award Student must be entering Junior or Senior level of study Note: A student previously awarded this scholarship shall be ineligible in the following years Donald C. Mosley Endowed Scholarship in Business A deserving student Note: A student previously awarded this scholarship shall be ineligible in the following years

3 Helen and Robert Sellers Scholarship in Business Student must be majoring in the Mitchell College of Business Hollis and Carmel Shumock Endowed Scholarship in Business Any deserving Sophomore student Pursuing a degree in the Mitchell College of Business Jack R. Brunson Memorial Scholarship for Excellence Preference given to a student of non-traditional age who wishes to return to college to complete his/her degree Must be in good academic standing with a sufficient grade point average to qualify for studying in the appropriate year of study (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) Preferences will be given to students who demonstrate financial need Jake and Pat Gosa Endowed Scholarship Student should exhibit skills that classify him/her as an above average student with significant ambition Student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher Student must be entering Junior level of study or higher Student must demonstrate financial need Student should exhibit leadership ability, and possess good work ethic, drive, energy, self motivation, and be career oriented/driven Student should include a letter of recommendation from a USA faculty member (or other faculty member if he/she is a transfer student) Note: In the event that two or more students are equally qualified, selection should be based on that student who has the greatest financial need. A student previously awarded this scholarship shall be eligible in the following years. Peggy and John Seibert Family Endowed Scholarship Preference given to a former member of the Boys and Girls Club of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama Merit Based, minimum GPA of 3.25 for most recent year completed Rising Sophomore or higher level in MCOB Other criteria: work ethic, entrepreneurial qualities, and service involvement demonstrative of leadership abilities

4 Peggy and John Seibert Family Endowed Scholarship Preference given to a former member of the Boys and Girls Club of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama Merit Based, minimum GPA of 3.25 for most recent year completed Rising Sophomore or higher level in MCOB Other criteria: work ethic, entrepreneurial qualities, and service involvement demonstrative of leadership abilities Pfilip and Luella Hund Endowed Scholarship in Business Student must be a Junior or Senior level of study or MBA student Undergraduate students must be majoring in Finance or Entrepreneurship Merit Based, minimum GPA of 3.0 Must display involvement in community, campus organizations, or maintain a job U.S. Citizen or Permanent resident Shoe Station Endowed Scholarship in Business Student must be a full-time Junior or Senior level of study Resident of Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Georgia, or Louisiana Merit Based, minimum GPA of 3.0 Stimpson Brothers Leadership Scholarship in Business Student must be a resident of Alabama Student must be entering Sophomore year Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above Student must be enrolled as a full-time, business major Eligible students must provide a letter of nomination from an MCOB faculty member and at least one additional letter of reference from a non-relative. Letters should describe the student s strong leadership ability, positive attitude, outgoing personality, good judgment and sound moral character. Preference given to a student enrolled in the University s ROTC program Student must provide evidence of the following from their high school career: leadership roles in school, church, and/or community organization; preference shall be given to a letter winner in a varsity sport

5 Thomas Corcoran Endowed Scholarship for Adult Students Adult minority student obtaining a degree from the MCOB Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or greater Must be registered for a minimum ½ course load Turner Supply Endowed Book Scholarship in Business Pursuing a degree in the Mitchell College of Business
