Should optical assembly become dirty on the inside, wipe refractor/lens and clean in above manner, replacing damaged gaskets as necessary. DO NOT INSTALL DAMAGED PRODUCT! This luminaire has been properly packed so that no parts should have been damaged during transit. Inspect to confirm. Any part damaged or broken during or after assembly should be replaced. Do not mount or support these luminaires in a manner that can cut the outer jacket or damage wire insulation. Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Never connect an LED product directly to a dimmer packs, occupancy sensors, timing devices, or other related control devices. INTRODUCTION 1.1 Product. The B Optic Prismatite 4451 Long and Narrow provides a non-symmetric lighting distribution and must be aligned, as noted. NOTE For the B Optic Prismatite 4451 Long and Narrow, the refractor has directional arrows in the bottom of the glass that indicate the direction of the main lighting beam. These arrows are aligned with the latches on the luminaire. Align the luminaire at installation to orient the non-symmetric lighting distribution. 2.2.4 For wet location installations, apply sealant to the conduit threads during installation. 2.2.5 Though not recommended, the optical assembly may be removed from the electrical assembly for ease of installation. 2.2.5.1 Dis-engage the two side latches. See Figure 2 or 4. 2.2.5.2 Remove the optic cable screw from the electrical assembly, and set aside the optic. 2.2.5.3 Reinstall the screw into the electrical assembly for use during re-assembly.
Unlatch the optical assembly slowly and lower it straight down to avoid damaging the LED COB Module. Figure 4 2.2.4 Stanchion Arm Mount 2.2.4.1 Install the stanchion arm onto the stanchion pipe. Threaded 1 1/2" NPT or NPS (for wet location) or non-threaded pipe (for damp location) may be used. 2.2.4.2 Orient the arm as required for the application and tighten the set screws securely. (Set screw points should embed into the pipe.) 2.2.4.3 Pull the electrical supply wires through the stanchion pipe, arm and into the luminaire wiring chamber. 2.2.4.4 Make the appropriate supply wire connections as described for Pendant Mount, Section 2.2.2.6. 2.2.5 Wall Mount 2.2.5.1 Determine the required positions for the conduit entry in the wall mount box and attach the box to the mounting surface using four bolts (1/4 inch to 3/8 inch size, not provided with the luminaire). 2.2.5.2 Attach the conduit to the box (1" NPT). 2.2.5.3 Feed electrical supply wires to the box and then feed them through the wall arm and into the luminaire wiring chamber. 2.2.5.4 Bolt the arm to the box using the four bolts provided. Tighten bolts to between 90 and 110 IN-LBS. 2.2.5.5 Make the appropriate supply wire connections as described for Pendant Mount, Section 2.2.2.6. 2.2.6 Ceiling Mount 2.2.6.1 Attach the ceiling mount plate to electrical box using the two 8-32 screws provided. 2.2.6.2 Pull the electrical supply wires through the plate and into the luminaire wiring chamber. 2.2.6.3 Make the appropriate supply wire connections as described for Pendant Mount, Section 2.2.2.6. DO NOT HOLD, HANDLE OR TOUCH THIS AREA OF THE LED MODULE GR2256 2.3 Installing the Optical Assembly 2.3.1 Lifting the optical assembly straight up over the LED COB Module, position the optical assembly against the bottom of the electrical assembly, aligning the alignment tab on the electrical assembly with the notch on the optical assembly. See Figure 2. 2.3.2 Position the bail of each latch over its lug on the optical assembly and snap both latches closed. See Figure 5. 2.3.3 Remove the optic cable screw from the electrical assembly, insert it through the loop in the end of the optic cable and reinstall the screw into the electrical assembly. Figure 5 2.2.2 Pendant Mount 2.2.2.1 Remove the wiring chamber cover. 2.2.2.2 Back out the conduit set screw far enough to insure that it will not interfere with the conduit threads. 2.2.2.3 Thread the electrical assembly onto the 3/4" NPT pendant or fitting a minimum 4 3/4 turns. Then continue to tighten a minimum of one additional quarter turn and until the luminaire is aligned as necessary for aiming of optics or for appearance purposes. 2.2.2.4 Tighten the conduit set screw against the pendant or fitting. 2.2.2.5 Pull the electrical supply wires through the pendant and into the luminaire wiring chamber. 2.2.2.6 Make the appropriate supply wire connections to the luminaire wires in the wiring chamber and reinstall the wiring chamber cover, tightening both closure screws snugly to seal the chamber properly. GR276 2.2.3 Hook or Loop Mount 2.2.3.1 Hang the luminaire and make the appropriate connections to electrical cord.
3. MAINTENANCE 3.1 Disconnect electrical power to the luminaire location before maintaining, replacing or cleaning any part of the luminaire. If unlatching the optical assembly, lower it slowly and straight down to avoid damaging the LED COB Module. Replace the optical assembly if any such damage has occurred. 3.2.2 Wipe off the exterior of the luminaire to remove any dirt or debris that could enter the luminaire while maintaining it. Water, a mild detergent, and a damp cloth may be used if necessary. Do not use high pressure water equipment to clean the luminaire as this may cause water ingress to the luminaire. Do not attempt to connect and/or disconnect the electrical harness of the LED COB Module to the Driver Module while electrical power is connected to the luminaire, as this can damage the LED COB Module, thereby shortening the life of the LEDs or making the luminaire immediately inoperable or shortly thereafter. Tighten fastener to between 25 and 35 IN-LBS.
