The Financial Planning Education Council (FPEC) is an independent body responsible for raising the standard of financial planning education. FPEC have approved the courses listed below as satisfying the education entry pre-requisite for the Certification Program. ensure that courses are academically rigorous and reflect current financial planning practice, approval is granted for a finite period of time. This is expressed as registration renewal due date which is listed in column. It is the education provider s responsibility to re-apply to us for a further approval period. You need to be enrolled before this date for us to consider your qualifications. If your course is not on the list below, you can apply for a pre-enrolment approval via our website. Students commencing an approved course before the registration expiry date are allowed to complete the qualification within the s rules. Graduates of programs should therefore also refer to the expired registration list. Please note, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Graduate Diploma studies on their own do not satisfy the education requirements for admission as a practitioner unless held together with a Bachelor or degree. s are only available for 2, 3 and and are for study within 10 years. There are no exemptions for 1 or Certification units. Cross credits are credits granted by education providers towards a degree for members who have completed all Certification Program units. They are reverse exemptions, ie credits towards a post graduate qualification. Arrangements should be confirmed for each specific situation. Some cross credits may be granted on an individual basis where a formal arrangement has not been agreed with the FPA.
