Alarms How to read in the alarm-history. Every time a error occurs an alarm will be generated. All these alarms will be kept in a alarmhistory. The alarm-history can be queried by pic_20, as long as the supply voltage in not removed. F1: history F2: actual F3: counter F4: clear To read the alarm-history press the function-button F1. Q-Gr/Nr 00/35 G on 01.01.95 00:00:13 Q-Gr/Nr 00/35 Q on 01.01.95 00:00:09 The screen you see now is similar like the one above, and let us see the last status of an alarm. The numbers 00 gives the alarm-group of the alarm and is always 00, the number 35 is the alarm-number. For a complete list of alarm-numbers and its explanation see next chapter. The letter behind the alarm-number gives the state of the alarm. The letter G means the alarm is no more present at the moment. The letter Q means the alarm is acknowledged. The letter K means the alarm is occurred. Under each alarm-group and alarm-number you can see the date and time of that alarmstate. This date and time is not the actual date and time but shows the relative time after the complete system was last powered up last time. Every time an alarm occurs a red light at the right of the function-key F4 will become visible. This light will go out when there are no more alarms present. That means if the light is on, there is still an alarm even if you don t see any alarm-text on the Operator Panel. To see the whole alarm-history use the arrow-keys up and down on the Operator Panel. To leave the alarm-history use the key ESC. Z:\Documenten\SG-bepaler\Handleiding\eng\OP panel DENSIMETER v3_2.doc Page 19 of 22

Example: When you want to start your machinery the Densimeter gives the alarm Densimeter in Manual mode; no Automatic start possible. (number 008) It is now important to know what caused this alarm. Therefore we look in the alarm-history what will look similar like the one below. Ack-Gr/No 00/008 Q Alarmnr. 8 is acknowledged On 01.01.95 05:15:14 Ack-Gr/No 00/008 G Alarmnr. 8 is going On 01.01.95 05:15:13 Ack/Gr-No 00/008 K Alarmnr. 8 occurred On 01.01.95 05:14:57 Ack-Gr/No 00/008 Q Alarmnr. 8 is acknowledged On 01.01.95 05:14:56 Ack/Gr-No 00/008 G Alarmnr. 8 is going On 01.01.95 05:14:06 Ack-Gr/No 00/008 K Alarmnr. 8 is occurred On 01.01.95 05:14:05 Ack/Gr-No 00/007 Q Alarmnr. 7 is acknowledged On 01.01.95 05:14:04 Ack-Gr/No 00/007 K Alarmnr. 7 is occurred On 01.01.95 05:13:50 Now we see that the reason of the alarms was alarm number 7. In the alarm-list you can see the explanation of this number. Now we know what caused the alarm and we can solve the problem. Alarm-number 7 means leakage, so it s possible that the bottom of the Densimeter isn t closed well. Z:\Documenten\SG-bepaler\Handleiding\eng\OP panel DENSIMETER v3_2.doc Page 20 of 22
