Apprenticeship training - Status Quo 30 th September 2015 As of 30th September 2015 Infineon Austria is training 47 apprentices in the dual apprenticeship training mechatronics and electrical engineering (systems and industrial engineering). 29 men (~ 62 %) 18 women (~ 38 %) In total there are 34 apprentices on the apprenticeship with Matura training (~ 72 %) In September 2015 12 new apprentices started their training 5 of these are women 10 of these apprentices are on the apprenticeship with Matura training In Autumn 2015 12 apprentices finished the double apprenticeship training 10 men and 2 girls 3
Job description mechatronics and electrical engineering Mechatronics (automation technology) and electrical engineers (systems and industrial engineering) build mechanical, electromechanical, electrical, and electronic parts into mechatronical systems assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, machines, and devices 4

Infineon Villach 1st training year 2nd training year 3rd training year 4th training year 10 weeks vocational college at FBS Villach 2 each training year AwM at the vocational college Wolfsberg (only AwM apprentices) AwM at the vocational college Villach 1 (only AwM apprentices) Additionally: trainings (e.g. English, soft skills), participation in contests, events, and projects 5
Training at Infineon Austria Practical and technical training in cooperation with the Technical Academy in St. Andrä im Lavanttal 10-week block vocational college in Villach each training year Apprenticeship with Matura is also possible! Additional trainings top off the apprenticeship training (e.g. English, team trainings, learning to learn, ) After completing the training, our apprentices have many different qualification and career opportunities! Highlights of the last years November 2012: National championship title in Mechatronics 1st place for IFAT apprentices Hannes Rindlisbacher und Stefan Svetina (both 3rd year) at the national vocational competition in Mechatronics Mr. Rindlisbacher and Mr. Svetina qualified for the World Vocational Championships in Leipzig (July 2013) and represented Austria in Mechatronics At the World Championships the two apprentices placed 18th and received a Medallion for Excellence (over 500 points at the competition) 7
Highlights of the last years November 2012, 2013 and 2015: Among the TOP 3 at the apprenticeship competition of the Federation of Austrian Industry Carinthia "Facharbeit ist Spitze! (skilled work is top) 2012: Sandra Mack (1st year), Marcus Eckhoff & Andreas König (both 4th year) took 1st place 2013: Valentina Peternell, Nadine Stoxreiter and Christoph Habernig (all 3rd year) placed 3rd 2015: Alexander Schmid took 1st place in Mathematics, Robert Jank placed 3rd in English and David Gütler is in the winning team in the team competition 8
Highlights of the last years Since Autumn 2012: Yearly apprentice excursion for the 3rd and 4th year, as well as the young skilled workers The excursion always has a historical or technical focus and is supported by HR, the workers council, as well as PROGE (youth department) Excursion destinations: 2012: Memorial Mauthausen 2013: Memorial Peršmanhof 2014: Kaprun 2015: Memorial Mauthausen and voestalpine steel world 9
