6 Customer Services Essential part of the vocational studies is practical training and customer service is important part of it. All of our fields provide services by students. Tavastia Vocational College has also excellent facilities for organising different events and meetings with restaurant services. 6

30 Special Needs Education The objective for special needs education is to ensure the appropriate conditions for all students Special services are ensured by the law A personalized study plan is made for students who need special education There are ca. 250 special education students in Tavastia Vocational College 30

31 Preparatory Education of Immigrants Education of credits (weeks) for immigrants with basic knowledge in Finnish language Learning Outcomes strengthening of language skills getting familiar with the working possibilities and education in different fields 31

32 Basic Education for Immigrants In Tavastia Vocational College we also organize basic education for adult immigrants It takes two years from a adult immigrant to study the same subjects that children study in Finnish primary school, many of the courses are Finnish as a second language studies but also for example mathematics, English, history, biology, chemistry, sports etc. We also have preparatory study programs for those immigrants who are planning to study basic education as an adult within the vocational college. 32
