Executive Summary This proposal outlines an opportunity and benefits for Your Business to become an event partner with the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Victorian PGA Championship, an event on the PGA Tour of Australasia. The event will be an interactive experience for our partners, playing golf inside the ropes alongside the best players from across Australia over a classic sandbelt golf course, and then enjoying the hospitality of the Huntingdale Golf Club in their magnificent new clubhouse facilities. Melbourne s Home of Sport, 1116SEN will be broadcasting live from the Championship across all 4 days and will provide on-air opportunities for the successful teams through leader board updates and hole naming recognition. Victorian PGA Championship At 90 years of age, the Victorian PGA Championship is one of Australia's longest running golf Championships. Past winners of the Championship include Peter Thomson AO CBE, Kel Nagle, Ossie Pickworth, and current US Tour players Stuart Appleby and Marc Leishman. The Championship has provided an excellent pathway for our future stars of the game as they progress onto the international stage. Winners of the Championship receive the Jack Harris Trophy in honour of the Victorian that won the title on 6 occasions, and forms part of the PGA Tour of Australasia. The Victorian PGA Championship attracts our best players from across the state and country, and will provide an excellent golf experience for our partners and viewing public. Page 4
Championship Details The 2015 Mercedes-Benz Victorian PGA Championship The Tournament will be held at the Huntingdale Golf Club from 10 th - 13 th February 2015 Championship is part of the PGA Tour of Australasia 92 professionals will compete over 4 rounds for the Vic PGA Championship The top 50 professionals plus ties after two rounds will compete over the final 2 rounds. Prize money of $100,000 will be available for the professionals. The SEN Challenge 92 amateurs will each be teamed up with a Professional to compete as a pair for the SEN Challenge Two rounds for all players leading with the leading 40 teams qualifying for the third round Pairs will play a modified best ball par format The event is held the week following the Oates Victorian Open. The Venue The Huntingdale Golf Club is synonymous with tournament golf in Australia, and will be hosting the Championship for the first time. Home of the Australian Masters for 30 years, the club has gained a reputation as a first class Tournament venue. In an exciting addition to the championship, the club will showcase its recently built state of the art clubhouse and business facility. Page 7
Media Coverage Championship presenting partner, 1116SEN, will be broadcasting from Huntingdale for all four days of the tournament. Both the SEN Challenge and the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Vic PGA Championship will conclude during the afternoon Run Home program, hosted by Mark Allen and David Schwarz. Scoreboard updates will run through the day with corporate teams being named and holes being branded to increase exposure for all partners. The PGA will be promoting via the following mediums; PGA of Australia website, including live scoring and iphone app, PGA Social media and consumer database Victorian and golfing media Media releases A PGA media representative will be on site for the duration of the Championship to coordinate all media activities. Hole Sponsor Opportunity The PGA Tour of Australasia is pleased to be able to offer Your Business the following benefits as a Hole Sponsor of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Victorian PGA Championship. Your Business will receive; Two (2) amateur players to compete in the SEN Challenge, each paired with a professional over days 1 and 2. Investment The Term The term of investment is one year, ending at the completion of the 2015 Championship. The Investment This opportunity and included benefits will require a cash investment of $5,000 ex GST for the nominated term. Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis, and the PGA reserves the right to approve entries according with its existing sponsor and partner policies. Page 10
